We should stop playing for a year to gain a boost in self trust??? I think most of us already have that!

Day 1: Oh what a beautiful day to do stuff ! Full of opportunities!
Day 2: So much time for productive activities!
Day 3: Kill me!

Why'd I do that ? Gaming is my life and I'm happy with my life.Society shold stop trying to fix me, I think you're the broken one here.

Gaming was one of the greatest social mediums during my early life. I probably wouldn't have near as many friends if I didn't play games.

I managed that... Kind of. I've set up a beeper. Every three o'clock, I go walk my dog for 15-30 minutes. Better than nothing... :P

Don't forget the leash and always leave and enter the house before them.

Not playing video games for a year would mean that you aren't a gamer anymore.

No, the true free achievement is earned by playing the Stanley Parable demo.

Ha. Haha. Hahaha! HAHAHAHA... That will never happen. If I have anything to say about it, I won't go a single day without playing something.

Greetings from the past.
We went years w/o playing video games, and of course there was no internet either. We played with other stuff or watched TV.
What you are suggesting is functionally irrelevant.

I'll stick to my "I have no life" Achievement, thank you very much!

I have lived the first half of my life without any videogames. In the second half i'm playing games instead of watching TV and be bored.
I'm currently in a medical school and i have a girlfriend for more then two years. I don't think videogames are taking all my time.

I don't think that's really an "achievement" for anyone. And even if you want to cut back on gaming, then cut back a bit, don't stop alltogether. It's like Stan talked about to his dad about drinking in South Park:
"Stan: Dad, you like to drink. So have a drink once in a while. Have two. If you devote your whole life to completely avoiding something you like, then that thing still controls your life and you’ve never learned any discipline at all.
Randy: But, maybe… I’m just the kind of person who needs to have it all or nothing.
Stan: Naw. All or nothing is easy. But learning to drink a little bit, responsibly, that’s disciprine. Disciprine… come from within."

You know what's the most beneficial thing for a gamer?
To be able to Not play Any video game for at least 1 Full Year, that is the most important achievement a gamer can achieve, it is a psychological achievement, after which one gains oneself trust boost.
Everyone is fighting either for Your Time or for Your Attention or even for Both, so why wouldn't you join the fight? :)
