Super Hexagon. Buy the two-pack, give the extra copy to a friend, and settle all of your arguments by your relative positions on the leaderboards.
Also, I recommend that you finish Bastion. It starts slow, but it gets much better and the ending is beautiful.

low price, lots of hours of frustration yet addicting gameplay with high replayability: "The Binding of Isaac"
free, scary and with a tension building, immersion and deep atmosphere i've yet only seen in "Amnesia - TDD": "Cry of Fear"
if you want to spend a bit more to let you immerse during the cold days: "The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim" (or "Far Cry 3", if it's too cold and you want some comfortable warmth by killing bloodthirsty pirates at a paradise island)
