So, since I started playing Skyrim for some odd reason. I was thinking on what race you like to favor.

I'm kind of odd as I prefer Bretons.First playthrough, I had a Breton tank. Heavy armor, shield and mace. Practically indestructible.

I don't care on how you like to play it, just want to know what race is your favorite to run as.

Well, which one?

View Results
Altmer (high elf)
Dunmer (dark elf)
Bosmer (wood elf)
Khajiit (I'm a furry fan)
Argonian (Lusty Maids ahoy!)
Orismer (orc)
Breton
Imperial
Nord
Redguard
I've never played an Elder Scrolls game
Obligitory plant based poll choice

Imperial was the race of the character I stuck to/progressed with the most for the longest gameplay time. But I've only ever had 5 characters - Nord (2 of them), Imperial, Altmer, and Khajiit.

First I ever made was a wood elf in oblivion. Before I realised all skills could be equally upgraded and so my penchant for bows could be completely race free. My god...I honestly believe he was the starting point to my legendary career in fucking around to the highest extent with a character creator. He was horrific and so bad/good/kind of both in a disturbing way that he was, and still is infamous among my friends and family. His name was michael jackson, had the most pedophilic grin possible, practically glowed in the dark via his bio-luminescent skin tone and had a nose and face each large enough to safely land a fucking passenger jet onto.

From then on it was mostly all khajiit though, with appropriately cat themed names and mostly tended to be vaguely normal looking (in the elder scrolls games though. No need to mention the horrors created in other games) , if only coz kitty be damn sweet looking and innocent. If only to hide my otherwise lurking habit of robbing everyone blind as a shitty little thief.
Of course with skyrim's character creator being less...fun and hilarious than oblivion's you have to turn to mods if you ever want to recreate the eldritch horrors of old.

I made a Nord - after looking through all the races, i thought looking just "normally" would be fine, just typical dude.

and seems like it is. citizens of Skyrim tend to be racist against "nontraditional races", it had me so intrigued that i wanted to actually create another character. :D

In ES games I usually play a Breton as my main character, for the magical purposes. But in Obl. I tried imperial and then in Sky. played a nord to see what the difference is... meh, there isn't any. It's not that kind of a game.

I chose Khajit, but I'm not furry, vote is kinda misleading, some ppl may not choose it just because it says that which will lead into different results, which kinda breaks the purpose of the poll. But I played as Nord in Skyrim.

Khajiit, for many reasons (except for the furry one).

Breton, if only for the magic resistance in Skyrim. I like turtle tactics, trolling with dagger and shield with an absorb stamina enchantment.
Other than that, Khajiit are fun as well :D

I misread the question and selected Khajiit because I missed the part about "to play as". I played an argonian in Skyrim, because they look dragon/lizard-like. My favourite race (to look at) are Khajiit though. Mainly because of the great and unforgetable Mod "M'Rissi - A tail of troubles".

I'm very furry. Khajit is an obvious choice.

Imperial. They have no abilities that really give an unfair edge. So if you like a challenge they're the way to go.

Breton for a Spellsword build. Khajiit for Stealth Archers. Used to play as an Altmer + Atronach sign for a truly hardcore and overpowered Mage build during my Morrowind days. I don't like this race any longer seeing as what they've become storywise as of Skyrim and future TES games.

I only ever played as an Argonian until my last playthrough of Skyrim. I decided for a totally new approach to things and went with a mace and shield Orc. No stealth. No alchemy. I did learn magic and complete the mages questline. Just charging in to combat was a new experience for me after years of sneaking around and shooting poisoned arrows.

Bonus - it made meeting that lone aging orc with a deathwish a much more emotional experience.

Bosmer or nord for me. Just something odd that I love about wood elf faces lol

I either go for a male nord if i make "myself" in the game. Or a female orc that i usually never get far with if i want something els.

Dunmer, baybeeeee!!! I want to do a run as an Argonian tho cos it just seems so different than your typical Elven Shindig, but obvs haven't gotten around to it.

While I have nothing against the beast races, I can identify myself with human or mer characters. In Skyrim I didn't like the look of mer characters so I stuck with humans most of the time. I had nord, imperial and breton playthroughs.

Always been an Imperial ("Hey Cyrodiil", "How's going Cyrodiil?", "Cyrodiil this!", "Cyrodiil that!"). Voice of the Emperor was awesome in Oblivion/Morrowind (kind of meh in Skyrim though)!
