As I found out that the number of games in my account have come closer to 500, I asked the help of our dear friends from Steam support to have a couple of games (that I will never play anyway) removed from my account.

The first few games that I asked to remove were the crappy indie games that were given away in some sites, i.e. Final Slam 2, Afterfall Insanity EE, Dino D-Day, Frozen Hearth, Gun Monkeys, Enclave, and Woodle Tree Adventures. Then I proceeded to crappy games that were included in bundles, which included The Ship (best part that the game count dropped 3 places) and Dream Pinball 3D.

And then finally, the most painful of them all, asking to remove some games/packages that I actually paid good money for (welp).

So far, 11 games have been removed, and my latest request will remove another 20+ games if successful. But do you want to know about the best part in all of this? It was the only time when Steam support actually responds within 24 hours! Amazing.

So yeah, have you guys had any games removed?

EDIT: I am aware of the new Steam feature to hide games, and as a matter of fact, I have about 100 items in there. I just feel that it isn't enough for me, so I had to remove some of those games.

EDIT 2: Got a reply from Steam support and got my latest request done. Game count is now down to 465. Yay

EDIT 3: Say what you want about me clogging up Steam support, but it's not my fault that they have priorities to what tasks they should do first. Besides, I only talk to one person anyway (or that's what I've been led to believe) by just reopening my previous tickets.

Yeah, I've removed games from my account in the past. You're not alone.

Only one game Saints Row 2 cut version, so I could activate the uncut version.

I won't remove any games.
The chances a crappy game gets trading cards or it's part of future Playfire Rewards are likely.

Can't say I understand the appeal of removing games.

Seeing Final Slam 2 in my account reminds me of when I made 22 cents from the cards. Good times.

Afterfall Insanity isn't crappy though ^^ It has a nice story and graphics, the gameplay isn't that bad either, but could be better + I loved Enclave when I played it a looong time ago :P

And I would never remove a game, because that doesn't make any sense to me ;)

I don't know, both of them just felt a little bit off for me. And the fact that I got both for free made it easy for me to let go of them lol

Why would you remove games? you ashamed of your collection?

Do you mean remove the game from your account or just delete from your computer? I see no reason whatsoever to do the former. If you don't plan on playing the game just don't download it. There is no harm in keeping it but not playing it.

To be fair, I did have some fun playing it, but no one is actually playing it here in Australia any more. Playing single player just doesn't feel right

I once didn't buy a really profitable game pack, just because I didn't want to have one of the games in my library. But that was before I became a game collector, now I feel so stupid, especially when in the end I ended up buying that same game seperately either way. X___X

yes, I had Steam support remove a game that turned region-locked, so I could activate a different version.

Starbound and the Total War games I won on Steamgifts. Those Total War games were Russian CD keys that won't work anywhere else.

I contacted their Support to have a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 removed, after I was gifted an Australian copy.

They changed it to the non censored release instead. :D

That's the actual version that I have, unfortunately, but I'm glad Valve made it uncensored again after the R18 rating was intro'd here

I actually had to get Assassins Creed Black Flag removed last year since they decided to implement a lock for RU+CIS copies even after it had already been activated.
