What do you love most about Halloween?
The only thing I do for Halloween is play scary games, well I do it for the month of October and a bit into November. I'm currently playing STALKER. I bought it way back when it was released, still have my disk and box, but I never finished it. Game is creepy AF, but that's not why I stopped. The first patch for the game was incompatible with existing saves and I didn't want to start over, so I didn't patch and kept playing. I got to the Red Forrest level and there was a bug that cases the game to crash there and I couldn't go farther. That's about 3/4th of the way through the game, and I didn't want to have to go through it again, and I just never got around to re-playing it.

I love the Stalker games...well, I love the first two. I tried playing Clear Sky (the prequel), but it has all of these time-pressure events and a strangely sharp difficulty curve out of nowhere, and I just got frustrated and put it down. But the first two...man, I played them all of the way through. Great mix of RPG and FPS -- loved 'em.

That's right, that time of year is upon us! The time when the temperature starts to get cooler, kids get excited about a night of hoarding free candy, and adults prepare for costume parties where they will see who can dress the sluttiest. π π
Halloween is one of my very favorite holidays, and to celebrate I've prepared a train for SG that will run through midnight, All Hallow's Eve. There are -- currently -- 108 carts in the train representing 148 keys, so there are plenty of opportunities to spend your points! [There are supposed to be two more carts and four more keys, but a couple of games are missing from the SG list right now; I've put in requests to have them re-added, and will update the train with these GAs if that happens on time.] I've dug through my library of available keys and grabbed anything with jump scares, zombies, ghosts, witches, ax murderers, monsters, haunted houses, jack o' lanterns, or the like and brought them all together here to form this train.
This is a graduated train, meaning that different sections have different level requirements. The first section of the train (33 carts) only requires level 1+ to ride. The second section (50 carts) requires level 3+ to get on. And, the final section (25 carts) requires riders to be level 5+.
All right, prepare to spend your points and hop on board the HALLOWEEN TRAIN!!! πππππππ
note: a couple of these keys are pretty old, and if they don't work, you agree to delete the GA without a fuss (otherwise, don't enter). They should work fine, and likely I'll replace it with a key for another game if it doesn't, but no pitching a fit -- I don't have time for that in my life. Thanks. ππ
UPDATE: Fixed all of the links...one...at...a...time. π¬ π
Also, because PeteOzzy is freaking AWESOME, the other two games I wanted to give have been added to the SG database already! So, I've added them after the caboose. If you've already ridden the entire train, you can jump to them here. Level 1+, removed games! Good luck!
UPDATE #2: Well, for those of you who take the time to read all of this and pay attention, I have a last-minute bonus GA for you! I grabbed an indiegala bundle the other day, and it had a Halloween-themed game in it, so I thought that it ought to be part of this event too!
