For me it's already worth it for eden0 and Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.1 Onikakushi alone, both were on my wishlist! :) and eden didn't get a nice discount on steam sale >_>

I know I was pretty intrigued when [Eden] unlocked as an event deal, but then when it actually went live it was 'only' 75% off (maybe less?), so yeah, I'm with you.
Ended up buying this bundle solely for Eden and Higurashi, same as you :D

It went from a 50% discount to 60%, I was SO upset. Then again, had it been bigger I would have bought it and now I got it for cheaper, so that's good xD
I hope new groupees visual novel bundle is more steam-focused, the other one had more adult and non-steam stuff, meh

Agreed, that top tier was... uhm.
And one of the 2nd tier games seemed to be pushing it, appearing to be more fan-service than substance.
But even just 3 VNs for $4 isn't a bad deal, and that 2nd tier RPG-hybrid seemed pretty interesting.
The Steam Sale- this was my first, so I can't really compare to others- was pretty disappointing on its own merits. If you wanted decent sales on low cost budget games or new releases, it had some legit offers. But for anything in the middle, it just copied sale prices that every other sale site had already offered multiple times; and for everything else (like event sales), it offered minor discount improvements.
But yeah, maybe it's for the best that the Steam Sale was a bit lacking, gives us more funds for bundles- right? :P
I don't really worry about who the provider of games is, though [other than Uplay, I like to have games that actually work], so it's not important to me if they're Steam-based. Especially since a lot of VNs simply aren't on Steam, and I'd like to play them regardless :)

Anyway, I believe it's a fair price for 8 games, especially when 6 of them have cards, plus you can't say these are your average repeat bundles :)

I thought of the same, but the special was on the 13th when I bought it, so just over two weeks. They played that one well, ha. I got all excited too because I saw I've played 113 minutes so far.
Well, at least I'm supporting the devs a bit more this way.

They have been very customer friendly with their refunds so far. 113 minutes is also still within the 2 hour range Steam allows you to have. If you really feel like it you can give it try, I'm pretty positive they'll refund you. Supporting the devs also is a great thing to do if you really like the game tho.

OK, I thought about it hard, and I decided to try by straight up telling them it's in a bundle for significantly cheaper. I'm mixed as to whether I want it to succeed, so i don't mind. The fact I'm a little annoyed that they didn't give much of a discount in the sale, then just bundled pushed me over the threshold. Well, I'll see what happens. Thanks everyone!

Yep, I just got an email saying it's refunded. I kinda didn't expect it because I was honest and just said I want to go buy it in a bundle instead. Well, I'm impressed.

Well, unlike every other customer support request that they either ignore or are rude to, yes, they seem really responsive to refund requests, and the interface to send the requests in is functional, polished, and easy to use [once you figure out where it is].
Unfortunately, they still won't refund certain things [like certain packaged game bundles, or any game you gift- so if you get a multiplayer game and find out the multiplayer is broken, you're SOL], so it's still kinda frustrating to deal with some games.
Still, it's a great system, and helps alleviate a lot of the major problems steam was starting to have with games being too unreliable to purchase.
