Hello,

Its been around half a year since I joined SteamGifts. I have created giveaways of only keys of games that I already owned or did not want. I have never went out of the way and bought a game to giveaway here. I want to change that, my bday is really close and I want to create a Giveaway Puzzle+Train for everyone as well as include my whitelist in it. As I am new (to giving) and have never done this before I need your help.

First thing that I need your help is buying the games.
Where is my money: Steam Account, I have sold a lot of items (about 120+) in the steam market in the past month for this.
What do I want, I want low priced games (so that I have a lot of games to create big trains/puzzles/various categories) but not the cheap crappy games.
If possible I also want them to increase my CV on steamgifts, but this is an optional 'want'.
I need your help in finding such games, how do i go about it? Also is gifting through steam my only option or is there another way?
Also I want none of the games to be region restricted!

Second thing I want you help with is creating a puzzle/train
I want to mix and match various types, so I can have one giveaway each of Jigidi, itstoohard, and mix in other types that go on in the Puzzles forum.
What is the best way to create a train that isn't just a straightforward train but has some loops, and sidetracks to keep bots away?

Whitelist
Who have I added in my WL

  1. People who have helped me on this forum.
  2. People from whom I have won Giveaways.

You have about two days to send in your help comments, bday arrives soon!
The Giveaway post will be separate, no need to bookmark this.

How are you spending your time in the Lockdown? I have been playing a lot more games than usual, making YouTube videos and streaming on Twitch

The new steam filters allow for sorting both by price and then by reviews, which should give you a lot of choices link

Q. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?p_faqid=549&
Can I send gifts to Steam users in other regions?
Territory restrictions are noted on the Steam Store page.
Steam Support cannot make changes to territory or language restrictions.
(If the difference in price between the 2 steam stores after currency conversion is greater than 10% you can not gift the game. Higher or lower.)

I can’t help with buying games, as I only give away keys on SG, due to region restrictions because of pricing, etc. I do like jigidi entries. Sgtools seems to have a lot of options, but can Sometimes restrict more people than you want.

Hello! I have bought some games through Steam store specifically to make giveaways here. Currently you can buy a game there as a gift only for one of your Steam friends. So you can find one of games with good reviews what is currently on a prolonged sale in Steam (about one week or more from now), with 75% or higher discount, create relatively short-period giveaway with this game (for example, one day), add winner to your list of Steam friends, and send a gift. Consider cross-region gifting limitations also. When choosing a game, remember to check that it could give you full-CV value (no stars near the name of the game when you are starting to create the giveaway). Example: "Syberia 3" currently has 84% discount, but reduced CV value (15% only). Still, "Syberia 3 Deluxe Edition" also has 84% discount, but full CV value! I would call it excellent choice, but it's only 33 hours to the end of this discount. In this case you would be risking not to establish friend relations in time.
I hope my recommendations could help. Good luck!

Very well explained, are there any restrictions on the number of steam gift copies or amount of money spent on them, in a month/week/day

Recently some limitations were added in Steam. If you use Steam wallet of an account only to buy gifts (and not the games linked to to this specific account) and if Steam wallet funds were received mainly through Steam trades (and were not transfered from credit card, for example), then Steam could deny your attempt to buy a gift to anybody. Sorry, I don't know the exact numbers, only how it appears to be done.
But I think that while your are using your main (single?) Steam account and not planning to create dozens of gifts daily, there should be no problem. Still, I think it will be wise to start from creating single (up to 50 CV) giveaway using this method at a time. In fact, I have reached level 4 here mainly by two 50 CV gifts. You can try this method with cheaper gifts, of course - maybe it won't be so effective in rising your steamgifts level.
Try this with single 5 CV gift, for example, and don't forget to check regional limitations. I could send Steam gifts only to RU/CIS gamers, so I must set corresponding restrictions to every my giveaway.

Bundle keys are your best bang for the buck,. it's a shame your money is mostly in your steam account.
In theory you could convert that from csgo and tfc keys into other game keys, but re-trading keys other people buy is not recommended for a variety of reasons.
You could also trade some games vs paypal to get your credit where you'd be able to do the most good with it - humble bundle and fanatical.

Steam does have a spring sale coming up though, you may want to wait for that one alternatively.

Well, i would look for "overwhelmingly positive" games on steam, then check here to see if it is bundled or not before.

I am not sure about how trains work etc, so i won't be able to help for this :)

I would advice you the new search function of steam
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Reviews_DESC&maxprice=5

Or if you know people that can give you ROW keys of games and accept that you send them a gifted game at steam.
The difficulty is that this one must be in a country that have max. +10% higher prices as your own country. And India is very cheap at game prices, so it will not be easy to find somene that fits for that AND have ROW keys laying around + want steam gifted games for it.
But maybe you have a fitting friend.

Besides that i don't see much possibilities with only steam wallet to use.

Maybe you should check about region restrictions first if you are going to give away gifts straight from Steam.

for the first part, there is a community wishlist on the upper left corner of steamgifts. You can filter the games by price and see which are popular for giving away. For steam gifts from your inventory, you can send them to an email, no need to add friend, if that's what you're asking.
For the second part, I cannot help you because I have never made train or puzzle giveaways.

To find cheap, but quality, games you can buy directly from Steam, I recommend using GG Deals with a store and price filter.

For example: https://gg.deals/deals/?maxPrice=5&store=4

I personally use https://www.isthereanydeal.com which has really dynamic filters available for finding deals, though Steam's store filters have gotten better. For example, it can let you look for games that are on sale on Steam, have never been bundled before (which would allow your giveaways to be full value on SG), are <75% off, and under a certain price

ESGST plugin can help make the basic part of the train, and then you could modify the "cars" later to create loops and sidetracks. The most common or basic anti-bot train techniques, puzzles aside, that I see on these forums are:

  • Give links to the next giveaway that includes irrelevant text to remove

  • Give partial links that are missing needed text like "steamgifts.com/giveaway/xxxxx" where xxxxx needs to be replaced by something

  • Put the train or a car behind an sgtools.info rule checker. Create the invite only giveaway on SG, then enter the giveaway URL here to generate an sgtools link that will grant or deny access based on criteria you choose
