That's the thing, I used to be able to get it to work, but I've been using D-Fend Reloaded as an easier means of mounting and stuff, but it doesn't seem to work... I might have to run it off of the disk itself or something...

Today i was trying to play "X-Wing" and "Tie Fighter" Collector's Edition, they run in Windows 7 x86 without any kind of emulation but they need a few tweaks to play it, but if you're trying the DOS version increase the CPU cycles it helps a lot with the framerate

I'm running under Windows 7 and I think I just got it working, I was using a powershell file and I changed everything and it should work.

It's Windows 7 but my CD wasn't running right. I was doing the setup wrong but I think I got it...

Well, how about sharing the information with us if you've got it working? I still have my original CD's, but I've never tried to run it on Windows 7 (I'm using the 64- bit version).

"Star Wars Rebel Assault I & II"
This game sucked so hard.
And yet, it has that special place in my heart.
Fuck the speeder level though. That was so much bullshit.

Hey guys, thanks for the help. I have got it working except for the fact that it keeps trying to move my fighter up and to the right, I tried using two different joysticks, tried re-calibrating them, and it still didn't work... Now I'm just trying to get X-Wing Alliance to work...
Also, anyone know where to find a copy of Star Wars X-Wing? The original?

Try JoyToKey to emulate the keyboard as a joystick, i already finished X-Wing Alliance with that so it's a great alternative if you can't fix it, about the original i'm not sure if it's legal now but you can try to download it in your favorite abandonware site

So, my dad was going through old games a while back and found things like Star Wars Rebel Assault I & II, and Star Wars Tie Fighter (Collectors Edition). So, I decided to go back and play those old games that I was never able to play, because I was too young to know how to work emulators... Well, I used to be able to get it to work by ripping everything off of the CD and into a folder on my hard drive, then I used a command like this:
mount f f: -t cdrom
mount c c:SWTIE
F:
TIE
And after doing this, it ran fine. The installation worked, there were no problems. Now, I got a new hard drive, and so I copied these folders over to my new one, in hopes of playing them later. Today, I tried to use D-Fend Reloaded, a better method of DosBox, and when it started with the TIE.exe file, it brought up to the installation menu, and told me I could not run the install off of my hard drive... So then I tried running from the other things like INSTALL.exe and BOOTTIE.exe... None of them worked...
Now, I remember that I had to use the CD to actually run the game, which means my config would have to change to my new CD drive, but I want to be able to run this WITHOUT the disk... Is this possible?
I'm still not sure that changing the "mount f f: -t cdrom" to "mount e e: -t cdrom" and the "mount c c:SWTIE" to "mount d d:SWTIE" will work, I will post if this works in a few minutes...
EDIT: Well, I tried it, and it didn't work... It keeps bringing up an error about a parent class (this is while using a powershell thing) and not running scripts on my computer? If anyone knows what to do, help would be appreciated...
