I tried The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and >observer_ but they don't seem to activate in Europe (Austria) so they should still work. (PS4 by the way)

Did you try them with your secondary US account?
Because for me for all 3 or 4 I tried I got "This prepaid code is not redeemable in your region" so I assume they're US region.

No, it says inactive which is how they refer to ones that are expired.
