Checking activated gifts... Private profile on Steam

Just going through some of my recent GA winners. One of them has a private profile on Steam.

Is there any way to check if that person has activated the gift and isn't breaking any rules?

Here's a quick giveaway as a thanks for your input :-)

Best thing to do is to add them as a friend on steam, then check. You can also file a ticket, and ask for support to check for you, but it might be quicker to just add the person and try yourself.

You could probably file a ticket as well (suggested by support ), and if the person responds before the ticket, personally close it

I did that in one of my GAs. Added the winner and sended a message to him saying that I needed to see his profile. He temporarily changed his privacy settings so I could check it.
