Is anybody knows where I can find license copy of this game for PC:
X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
I know that can find it on torrents etc, but I really want it with license.

Amazon maybe?

That's better than nothing. But I don't really know if it is proper license disc, or just pirated game burned with art.

I guess gog got famous at first for selling very old game licenses/previously abandonware games.
Worth a shot.

Probably best not to encourage rule-breaking on the site, unless you wanna risk suspension by association. :S
(Which is to say, the rules prohibit solicitation/trading, and as soon as you openly participate in a trade [on-site] you're technically engaging in the same rule violation. If you really want to reply to this kind of offer, better to stick to 'Add me on Steam' or simply adding them on Steam) Well, that's my interpretation of propriety as it relates to the given rules, at least.

More important to note, $50 is a gross overvaluation of the game in question. A quick search shows me copies (eg, on ebay) ranging from $4 to $20 [largely dependent on condition and NA/PAL status]. Hell, even Amazon market sellers, who are infamous for their price-gouging, are selling it for less than $40. It'd be rather the bizarre decision to hook up with a random stranger (especially without factoring that user's reputation into things) who is presumably offering no safety net, rather than using a major site that gives you at least some basic assurance of actually getting the item in question (again, likely at a much more reasonable price).

What console games are you looking at when the question is about a PC game?

There is no PAL or NTSC for PC games. There is only a difference when a specific region chooses to censor something for whatever reason.

I couldn't find it in digital stores.
I think the only option is to look for a physical copy in the gray markets.

Agree. Still don't know how to tell license copy from pirated disc.

If you get the box and the 3 discs including the print on the discs (and not just a sticker) and the color of the disc I would be to 99% sure, that it's a legit copy.
Also check sellerratings on ebay

You don't have stores selling used games there? Altho I only found the PS2 version sold in a local one because most seem to focus on console games. But a store would probably be a safer bet to get a legit copy.

It might be considered differently because that kind of sites don't have any new AAA games etc unlike all torrent sites, just old games you can't buy anywhere legally as new. All up to the staff but the main mistake is thinking OP asked about such sites when clearly asking to buy a legit license.

Linking to any site which may infringe on copyright is a violation of this site's rules. You can address the topic in any other way, even aluding to the sites fairly directly [eg, I've yet to see any issue taken with comments in the vein of "It's probably available on Piratebay"], but it's recommended you don't ever add any links to the sites (unless you're favorable to the idea of being suspended, of course).

Unlike the impression given by cjcomplex or starwhite above, the rules aren't based around whether torrenting or AAA status is involved, but are instead based on the following from the site's Terms of Service:

If you comment or post material to the Website, post links on the Website, or otherwise make (or allow any third party to make) material available by means of the Website (any such material, "Content"), You are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that Content. That is the case regardless of whether the Content in question constitutes text, graphics, an audio file, or computer software. By making Content available, you represent and warrant that:

the downloading, copying and use of the Content will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;

To restate that: Even if the game in question has officially renounced its rights, or lost them due to legalities regarding copyright expiration, you still can't link directly to that game if it's on a site which hosts anything else related to copyright infringement, as your link is still directly enabling someone in potentially violating proprietary rights. Obviously, this is doubly true for linking directly to the element in question. This is basically the same arrangement the site has for any other prohibited content it acknowledges, such as explicit pornography.

Just delete because you're not answering anything OP asked.

I never said anything at all about it being allowed by the rules, merely about how a staff member might consider enforcing them differently if you read more carefully. The answer is still exactly the opposite of what OP wanted no matter if it contains a link or not so completely useless promotion of said site.

You'd have to find a used copy of it on a site like Ebay or hope to find it at an abandonware site.

Licensed properties like X-Men often don't get their licenses renewed because it isn't profitable to do so, and ere often sold only for a few years.

Closing the thread since people keep linking/directing towards torrents even though you asked for sources of legit copies.
Good luck on your search.

I think someone can help OP here, so I will keep this open, and be liable for any rule breakers.

Obviously as Cjcomplex wrote already - do not try to trade or link to torrent sites. There were some warnings here already, so any new comments in this area will warrant a suspension.

Getting a physical copy is likely your best bet. It will be something you look at as a new addition to your personal collection. As the gameplay and rarity of the product don't justify some of these prices. Maybe look for something around the 25€ range or a ps2 version, those are usually easier to find. From my own experience if there were any booklets inside, they are probably gone by now
I have a physical collection of Pc games, mainly trying to get each entry on certain franchises. I can't imagine how, even some extremely common games, like Need for speed would cost me if i started collecting now. But it surely wouldnt be worth it.
I don't even play the actual games, as i don't even use disk drives anymore. Like most people have said already, i just get the not so legal copy instead

I'd recommend SteamTrades (granted you have keys for trade), but you'll probably end up more frustrated than anything. Between the people offering you nonsense, unequal trade, lists, and scalpers, even if you managed to find it on someone, they'd probably want a BTC, your first born's soul, all your keys, and to cuck you with your wife. Not even exaggerating here.

Take a look at what happened with LOTR: War In The North. License expired. Scalpers instantly bought all the keys from sites, now they sell them for anywhere between $40-$75. The game was listed on Steam for $19.99. My buddy found a guy that had a massive amount of keys for it. The guy wanted $50 Paypal. Then tells my friend "I'm just trying to help people get a good game, I care." Many scalpers are delusional. If he really cared and wanted people to play a good game you'd sell it for $20. Maybe $25 for a slight profit, but 2 and 3x's as much as the listed price, that's lame.

Anyway bud, good luck finding it!

This reminds me of people who tried to defend their PS5 scalping. You really need to be delusional to believe this kind of argumentation.

Pandemic or not, they would still hunt for those consoles to make easy profit.

Lots of our community have been furloughed, made redundant, or at some form of disadvantage due to the pandemic. These people have managed to cover their bills, put food on the table and supply Christmas presents to their children. It may be unfortunate that a child won’t wake up to a PS5 this Christmas, but another child may have woken up to nothing.

Yeah, it's sad when people do that. Especially with investment in crypto being so easily accessible now and much more profitable with no harm to anyone.

i first know the word "scalpers" some years ago i think, but finally know the ugliness of them after the RTX and RX fiasco.. there's also PS5 but never really wants one to bother me much

geez i really wants RTX cards at a proper price and still waiting because of it, oh and i guess it's not just scalper making it worst, there's also miners (obviously not small time miners)

I don't think you can find a digital licensed copy. It has the same problem https://store.steampowered.com/app/433300/Marvel_Ultimate_Alliance/ have.

Google Shopping isn't bad for finding this kind of thing, although it does seem to prefer amazon and ebay which have both been mentioned already...

https://www.google.com/search?tbm=shop&q=x+men+legends+2+rise+of+apocalypse+pc

While I don't encourage piracy, I also don't find it morally objectional in circumstances like this (rightsholder no longer sells physical or digital copies and the only available copies must be purchased secondhand, in limited quantity, and in varying condition). But for those who are thinking along these lines, I would recommend to read up on VPNs if you are not familar with them... and to make sure they are somewhat trustworthy

Fakes are generally pretty clear that they're lower quality, I believe ebay has a 'hey support, it's a fake' option to get your funds back. Odds are if it includes the box and the cds don't look fake (a lot of the ones I've seen are pretty obvious about it and/or on burnt cd/dvds) Check on google what the cd/dvds look like then compare it to the ones you see on used reselling place, there's a chance there might be a slight difference in the text/look if it's from a different region but odds are they should be nearly identical.

Have you tried searching for it in second hand stores like cex or cashconverters? There is a copy here in Spain at cex for just 1.5€.

Maybe you can find one in your country... good luck!
