Inspired by this comment, I created a small chess problem for you :)

Important things

Rules

  • Giveaways end on Saturday, 24th of September.
  • Do not share answers/hints with other players.
  • Do not ask anybody for help, it is an individual puzzle.

Prizes

  • LEGO® Jurassic World
  • LEGO® The Hobbit™

Solution

0-0-0Bg3

Notationwise, instead of 0-0-0 you could use 000, O-O-O, OOO.

Bb8 as a second move does not mate the black king because the second black rook may break the bishop.

Good luck and have fun! especially OnlyTwin :)

I'm not sure whether I hate them or love them. But I will bump for having solved it and feeling pretty pleased about myself :p

Ironic considering it's the looped board; I just keep going round in circles on this one :D

The format should not be a problem if you follow the referenced article. Double and triple check you second move maybe.

Solution posted. Was it a notation problem for you?

It seems it was a problem of not checking your previous puzzles xd (at some point I also tried 000Rb8Bg3 and 0-0-0Rb8Bg3 after checking them, but didn't realize I had to omit the black movements)

1. 0-0-0+ Rb8 2. Bg3#

Is this a unique solution? Because the one I think I got doesn't work. Can I ask you on steam?

There's no way that I would have ever realized the castling would be an option with all of the madness going around. Nice puzzle. :)
