Well that really sucks. Two of my Steam curators I trust that basically say its "The definitive version of the best space strategy game I’ve ever played". I'll wishlist it and if it gets a much better Steam sale I'll give it a go and refund if it won't start.

It is indeed a great game, and I got it back when it was not even available on steam. Although I hadn't started it since upgrading to Win 10. It wouldn't start for me just now, but running the DirectX setup located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010 made it work again for me.
Maybe this might change your mind :)

Thanks for dusting off your copy and giving it a go. Right now its not worth $10 USD for me to take a chance that I can't fix the issue since I have a backlog of other strategy games. I'm sure they'll put it on sale or bundle it again in the future.

Did it increase price? I see 9,35Euro. Also have problems to switch into USD or other currencies (and tips on it - VPN i used dont work last time i checked as it is blocked).
BTW: Too high price but i am still thinking about it as I like strategy games...

Nothing I would play immediately so will wait for the price to come down further before I would consider buying this bundle.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. Their historical lows haven't dropped too much over the years, and as of right now that value is $22.02. They are all older games, and despite that it looks like Fanatical has been the only one really putting them in bundles (according to isthereanydeal), and those were random keys.
If you like strategy and don't have these games, it seems like a decent pickup for possibly a game you fall in love with.
