A friend once told me: "We accompany each other a part of the way. We keep the important memories, the rest we let go."
This sentence helped me in a time of loss and grief. Stay strong, stay kind.

Life is not an easy road to walk in, I wish I could say something for you to feel less lost, but it's bond to happen when we love someone so much. I wish you the best, I'm sure she's watching over you and is proud of you.

Everyone is offering condolences and that's fine but
No one is remembering your mother, so I will.

Your mother lived a full life
She had you
She raised you
She taught you kindness and being gentle

She lives on in you

May she rest in peace.

I'm really sorry for your loss. I lost my mom last year about the same period due to Cancer. I'm here if you need a friend.

I understand you perfectly. Although you seem to have had a much more solid relationship with your mom. I personally had somewhat a more difficult time regarding that. It was more of a shock when I found out than when she passed away 4.5 months later after she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that nobody expected it.

I worked in a care home for 3 years and I've dealt with a lot of death during that time. It taught me to be strong and accept that death is part of the process. When my mom died, I felt a sense of relief knowing that she's not gonna suffer and before she went I traveled back home to say my goodbyes and apologize for all the mistakes I've done.

Painful moment. I've cried a lot, and ever since that moment, 1 week and a half later she passed away. I couldn't attempt the funeral, but I wanted to see her before she went.

I've not cried or felt in any shape or form bad ever since she was gone. It's strange, but know that people deal with grief in different ways. Don't blame yourself if you don't follow the mainstream.

Stay strong and the dark times will pass. Time will heal those wounds and things will get slightly easier to deal with.

Remember if you do need to talk, I'm here or on Steam.

It has been more than 1 year, yes? I am sure she is in a good place, and she wants you to be happy (as we do).

These things never really go away, but we learn to cope with them with time. Good luck in your path, and do rely on your friends and family in your mourning.

I am sending positive thoughts your way!
