I've been wondering, does Valve compensate Ubisoft somehow for their obvious fuckup? They'd obviously would have earned more if it wasn't for the bug. Or are they just like "so yeah, we were selling your brand new game for 1/100 of its' value... mistakes happen, move on, kiddos"?

Depending who fucked up - Ubisoft or Valve. If Valve, then they will have to pay Ubi anyway.

As soon as I noticed this bug I contacted one of my usual RU Steam trader.. he normally takes a small cut on games but this time he looked at the deal and asked me for 5$US .. I was like WTF.. I don't mind paying xtra for the trouble but 5$ for 20 cents spent is pretty greedy in my book. He told me he was only buying copies for himself and if I wanted one that was gonna be the price, then my next comment was sarcastically telling him how nice that was of him and how happy I was that I told him about the deal.

Fastforward to today, I noticed that he blocked me and I checked his inventory .. he's got 10 copies of the game sitting there with their red icon over. I normally would never gloat over someone else's misfortune but this time it brought a big smile to my face.. Greedy bastid.
