A country that does not have any form of government. Ruled by no one. But is peaceful.

I think a haemophobic vampire would be interesting to portray but meh vampires are a bit overdone. :P
How about a wizard that can f*cking fight as well, instead of using the classic warriors as meat shields? He shouldn't be the old guy with the white hair and long beard, either. I am talking tattoos and braids and a cunning attitude because why the f not :P (ok maybe I overdid it XD but it always pisses me to see wizards as cardboard cutouts).
The opposite could work as well, with a warrior who actually has a brain. :p

I have three tips for you.
1) Character does not a story make. "A clown who hates peanuts" is not a story, it is a character. In order to have a story, you need change. When a character or situation evolves, that is a story.
2) Don't feel compelled to start your story at the chronological "beginning." Most good stories start where either the action or the drama begins.
3) Reiteration is everything. Expect to write two or three drafts before you really start to get the feel for which story you are telling.
