So I was offered a trade that made me very happy, as seen here.
Even though I don't play Dota 2, I knew (thought) I could use the item to get better CS:GO skins.
Of course, I first checked the price at the market, which seemed very good.
But then I got suspicious and told a friend about the offer, and asked if I should accept. He went further than I had and actually checked the price trend for the item, and found this.
Moral of the story: If you can go deeper, freaking go deeper.
Note: I only recently started trading items and was always careful about everything. Seems like I wasn't careful enough.
