Never heard of Bomberman Ultra, but going by the screenshots it's the PS3 version of the Xbox 360's Bomberman Live / Battlefest. I'd say get it.
I own the Xbox 360 games, and they don't innovate much over the tried & true multiplayer formula established in the 90's. There's character customization which is fun, but doesn't impact gameplay. And there's interactive arenas and various game modes which are what makes the difference. That said, they do prove that the tried & true formula still holds up well, and makes fo good party games.

I know it's not a PS3 game but thought I'd mention Dynablaster Revenge any way. It's a really well done Bomberman game, completely free. If you have a couple of controllers to plug into the PC it's well worth a shot.

Me and my dad, after putting plenty of hours in Crash Team Racing, are thinking about getting a new multiplayer game for the PS3.
I found Bomberman Ultra, and just want to hear from you guys, is it worth it? It seems to get good reviews, and I just want to know if it'd be a good buy for just the two of us, or I presume we could go online together so is it the online multiplayer still got people playing it? We'd be happy to play on our own, though, if it's dead.
Thanks everyone.
