I had to redo some sections more than once, the Hard difficulty is worthy of its name...
You can probably beat the Goddess' Route in around 25 hours if you play on a lower difficulty, ignore side content and read fast.
Not what I'd recommend though! XD

Green hell (seems like game has no npcs, I am just lost in the jungle alone, haing my wife on walkie talkie and probably due to low difficulty I haven't even met any bushman yet; even I will be alone against these bushmans I believe)

I do have both DLC, although it took me about 30 minutes before I realized I needed to explicitly open the 2016 option rather than just the base option. I'm also confident I've done enough where it would be considered beaten, although I plan on completing it.

I'd really like to finish Sleeping Dogs. Lots of hard crashes and do overs in November slowed me down a bit, but I enjoy the game despite its poor optimization. I think it will fit in games without a multiplayer option or fight alone against multiple enemies.

I'm still playing digimon cyber sleuth right now. Can i put it as an entry? Does it fit the category of child protagonist? The main character is not an adult (they are teenagers at most). If not i might skip this month since i would like to finish that first before moving to other games.

In case any of you were wondering we are not doing an advent calender again for this year, because frankly it is a lot of work and with the current situation my time is rather limited. But we could not let the Christmas season go by without some special GA's. So we decided to do GA's for all the advent Sunday's in December this year for participants of Decembers event.
So this year me or nin will sponsor some GA's on the following days:
6th of December
13th of December
20th of December
Since we know there are always a few of you that want to contribute too, we will allow up to 5 further GA's per day. So if you are interested in doing a GA for this advent period leave a comment with the day under this post so we can plan it a bit ahead.
P.S.: There also will be some normal GA's that will end in the first week of January, this is just an added bonus
P.P.S.: Contributions for the advent Sunday GA's will close 1 week before the date (e.g. for 6th of December contirbutions are possible until 29th of November, for the 13th until 6th of December and for 20th until 13th of December). If you do not want to contribute on any of these days feel free to make a normal contribution for the normal GA's ending in first week of January.

Yes in case it does not have any multiplayer option like Online, LAN, Split screen or Cross-Platform Multiplayer
So Trine for example wouldn't count, as it is a single player and multi player game

"Games where you have to fight alone against multiple enemies" - what does it mean? The player should be absolutely alone in the hostile environment (for example, like in "Strange Brigade" singleplayer where we have only radio voice at camps and no one friendly NPC) or just haven't permanent companion (I mean companions in "Fallout 4" or "Torchlight") or team (I mean team like in "Mass Effect" or "Dragon Age")?
I have untouched Metro: Last Light Redux and Metro 2033 Redux, do those games fit for the "Games where you have to fight alone against multiple enemies" category? I've played "Metro 2033" (not "Redux"), the player there was alone on missions most time (as I remember there were few little scenes where a useless NPC follow me or I was forced to follow NPC), but have friendly NPC on stations. Idk about "Metro Last Light", didn't played it before, but I think there is also friendly NPC on stations at least.

The player should be fighting without any help of others in single player, be it temporarily or permanent.
If there are merchants or healers or something in cities, they don't fight along with you so they don't count. But if you could summon creatures who fight with you like in many Hack&Slash games or you could recruit others on some missions to get help, these games wouldn't count.
BUT both games have no multiplayer mode, so just add them to the "no multiplayer" subtheme :) (I don't know why they have the Multiplayer tag shrug).

Oh! Initially, I had an impression that a temporary companion does not count, since there could be some games where you are playing like a 95%+ alone and there might be just one specific mission with a companion. This way, it could be pretty difficult to correctly verify if a game fits under this category or not, especially if the game hasn't been played yet. So, considering this scenario, personally, I "collected" the initial games list based on this assumption.
But anyway, as everything is clear, now I`m glad that I did not submit any entries under this subcategory yet :)

I won one of the GAs in October so I'd really like to give something back. How should I proceed to make a GA for the event in January, Samwise?

It's about 50/50. Some people like to ask me if I think a game makes a good GA, others just make one and send me the link. To those who ask I usually check the game against the WL of the steam group (I know not all participants are in the group but it gives a good direction in how well liked the GA might be). For my own GAs I never have games with fewer than 10 WL.
For this month (December) you have basically 4 options for a GA end time: the advent Sundays in December (e. G. 6th, 13th or 20th) or first week of January.
Other than that make it invite only and send me the link via steam or discord (can send you my id if that is preferred) and I will put it in the event thread and on the page.
P. S. : if you really mean the event in January then of course it should end in the first week of February ^^

I want to continue my effort toward 100%ing Vermintide through December too
Both games (Vermintide & Vermintide 2) have "ALL REVIEWS: Very Positive", however when you hover over "Very Positive" the second game has 80% positive while the first has 82%
So this game in or out ? I can't fit it into any other category for the event.
And if it is out it is totally fine, I have other backlog games that can easily fit the event.

yeah I looked at home alone 4 and people hated it. I actually prefer 3 and 4 to the originals

I used to have the dvds of the whole set. Don't own it anymore but I remember last year or something I watched number 3 which used to be my favourite as a kid. If you played a game some time ago with a few hours of playtime, can this be included? Looking at Fieldrunners and maybe a game off my Steam backlog. Not sure I'll finish Fieldrunners though so would finishing a non-win be okay - I got plenty of single player games to pick from. Necrovision is my other incomplete win but never going back to that, gave me bad motion sickness.

Cant answer the whole backlog question since idk whether you did enough on all your wins for sam to allow it, like that 9 minute dwarfs, but you are allowed to enter a game you touched before as long as its not almost complete. Or you intend to complete it which others including myself has done for already beaten games

Would it be ok for me to add A Hat in Time for this month, using the Games with a child protagonist theme? I've already surpassed the typical HLTB playtime (partly because I spent a lot of time just free roaming Mafia Town, picking up collectibles), but haven't yet started chapter 3 (of 5 chapters, without the DLC), so I'm only about halfway through the game.

First time participant here, I'm not sure why I never participated in those, looks like a great way to go through my backlog of won but unplayed games. I chose Fire Inferno as it seems like the best fit (probably will play more non-multiplayer ones after it), and am curious how do I verify that I've completed it after I do, since it has no achievements? I started taking some screenshots just in case which I sometimes do for games I play anyway.

Hi and welcome to the event :)
When you are finsihed with your game just change the status on the event page to beaten/completed. Then we can check it and approve it.
If you have any idle time in the game (either from before the month or during the time you play, e.g. leaving it on while searching for solutions or answering your phone or whatever else you might do while the game is running in the background but you are not playing it) put it in the time before the month, so that we can get a clean playtime for the leaderboard.
If the game has no achievements, make a screenshot of the end credits or finishing scenes so we can verify that you've beaten the game.
The comment here in thread is basically so we can contact you if something is wrong with your game entry or if we have questions.
The links to the invite only GA's will be found on the event page once one of your entries is approved as beaten :)

For Artifex Mundi games, do Bonus Adventures also have to be beaten or just the Main Story? Asking because there seems to be some sort of weekly time limit for PAGYWOSG this month, and I'd probably need another day to finish the Bonus Adventure.

just the main games are fine. Same for games with multiple routes only one needs to be done and then you can take your time with the bonus if you want to.
