Free Half-Life 2 copy in my inventory

Just logged and appeared in my inventory :S WTF?

Edit: Saw this image on reddit I never purchased the Orange Box but I got Half-Life Complete and already have HL2, maybe they delivered some extra gifts in those cases that they didn't give extra gifts

the guy who won Far Cry 2 from me still has it in his inventory for over a month now...i don't think the 1 day suspension given out made him learn anything. :D

Yes you are. I reported someone winned game from me, he is not activated it for 5 months. Support is just thanked me , he get 1 or 2 day suspend and he is still don't have game in his account.

not really gabe are clever enough to give us all the shitty coupons, you recive only couppons for games you dont own normally. In the last round i recived arround 10 66% off Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity :(

the only interesting coupon that i've got so far is killing floor 50% off...but i can't use it, since i don't have anyone to play it with and it's "low violence" in my region. (let steam delete my copys of L4D+L4D2 from my library for that reason, now they're on my wishlist again lol)

It says Orange Box and Valve Complete Pack, but anything that gives you Half-Life 2 will give a gift if you already own it, so it was the Half-Life Complete.

It should have, but perhaps there was a backlog in the system.

I know with free weekend games, you sometimes have to reload Steam before it shows in your library.

I received the thanks to buy The Orange Box message, maybe because I "completed" The Orange Box when I bought the HL Complete and now they ran the check owners of Orange Box that didn't receive an extra copy or something like that :p

It's a paraphrase of the old saying "don't look a gift horse in the mouth," which is commonly accepted as wisdom. Personally, I think the old saying is stupid too. If someone gives me something, I should want to understand exactly what it is and why it was given to me. That's sensible.

I had Half-Life 2 in my Library and then I got the Half-Life Complete Pack, but I didn't get an extra copy for HL2

I guess that's the reason :D

I also have this "issue". I won "Half Life 2: Episode 1" ages ago here on steam gifts, I then bought "Half Life Complete" collection. Now today, I find myself with an extra copy of "Half Life 2: Episode 1". Guess they applied the "Extra Copies" effect for that package, retroactively

They used to give extra copies of HL2 and HL2:EP1 for buying Orange Box or Valve Complete Pack. Seems like they added HL Completeto this promotion 10 hours ago.
