I agree with you. If they actually looked good it would be fine, but they're just ugly. And people now seem to spam them everywhere. What's wrong with the way we did it before (like :p)?

Yes, it does make it a lazier option for us than to find an appropriate GIF to share.

Personally, I do not like it because there is so much more to learn now. I liked how we were having to be creative with the options we did have to create our own emoticons to express something in a unique way.

I don't mind them too much as long as they aren't heavily spammed, unless the person who made the thread asked for them of course. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes. They do seem to be all the rave these days.

They are the new thing and people are overusing them. In some time most people won't use them at all, some others will use them occasionally and a few will keep spamming them.
