Im pretty sure we all came here to test our luck because we want more steam games but people make these puzzles nobody can answer and we cant enter another giveaway! What do you think of these random puzzles?

I prefer the classic puzzle method but that is just me. But in general I love puzzles they help me procrastinate more effectively.

Then solve the damn puzzles! Why the hell you think you are entitled to enter them? Its not your game, its the game from the giveaway creator, and if that is the way he wants to give it, so he shall.

Damn leech, the only thing you care is getting free games. You know that people like to solve puzzles, right? It can be a lot of fun to solve them even if you already have the game being given away.

I like how some people are angry at puzzle creators just because a specific puzzle is too hard for them, lol. Someone is giving a free game, makes a creative way for you to get it, and you feel the entitlement to be mad about it... darn...

Not meant for you specifically, just continuing this thread of thoughts.

posts picture/quote, doesn't give questions or instructions, never says if they want the character, game, next sentence, level, developer, console, etc for an answer

OP: "Wut u meen? Its so eezy!"

That sum it up for you?

What's wrong with making itstoohard puzzles? People are giving away games for free, they can choose how they want to give it.
And what do you mean "puzzles nobody can answer"? Just because you can't it doesn't mean it's too hard or impossible.

"I'm pretty sure we all came here to test our luck because we want more steam games"

I'm pretty sure you don't speak for everyone on this website. I enjoy the puzzle giveaways.

If you don't, don't bother entering. If you can't solve any of the puzzles, don't frustrate yourself by clicking on them. It's not your inalienable right to enter anyone's giveaway, simply because you showed up on the site.

Regardless of whether you can answer the questions, just be grateful that these people are giving away games at all, because that is the life-blood of this website.

Half the puzzles don't actually tell you what you're solving the puzzle FOR, or I'd probably solve more of them. I mean, I don't want to solve for a game I already have, that's just a waste of my time. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, I see nothing wrong with puzzles. Puzzles are fun!

1 decade ago
Permalink

And that is why I think nobody should tell what the puzzle is for, so the only people who enter are the ones who like to solve puzzles, instead of people expecting a reward at the end.

I like to solve puzzles, but if I have a choice of solving a puzzle in a video game for an hour (and getting that much closer to the end of the story) or solving a puzzle where the disappointing end is ANOTHER copy of Bad Rats...

Yeah, no.

This. I really like that most of the people give up before they even start - better odds for the folks who love to solve puzzles.

Solving the puzzle is the fun part, the option to win a game is a nice bonus to go along with the feeling of satisfaction you get when you solve a really hard puzzle that not everyone could solve.

I've solved tons of puzzles on this site for games that I already have, a lot of them even knowing what game the puzzle was for.

1 decade ago

Half the puzzles don't even tell you the question. They post a picture, and think that magically people will psychicly know whether they want character, level, game, developer, year, etc

And the problem is? Believe me, the picture is more than enough most of the times. You just dont know what to do with it.

I solved puzzles just for the puzzles. Some of them I haven't entered after I solved them because I either had the game or didn't want it. But I did it for the puzzle.

I really don't see what's wrong with those hard puzzles. Even the ones I didn't even have a clue on how to begin with. You need to learn to accept that in life, people don't just always hand you stuff and ponies fly around in clouds made of candies. That's just it, people can decide that they only want to give their game to those who they feel did at least something to earn the chance to enter the giveaway. Plus, I'm pretty sure that even those hard puzzle makers occasionally make up some easy ones just because they wanted to give the chance to others who can't solve their puzzles.

The end. :P

I think more people should make It's Too Hard puzzles.

Just clicking a button to join a giveaway that costs points that you did nothing to earn is boring... At least with puzzles you get some enjoyment before you have the chance to win something for free.

I also find it hilarious that the only giveaways you made were for Dota 2... You've basically contributed nothing to this site and you want more out of it?!? o_O lol Wut?

I think you should just be glad that you're allowed to be a member of this site at all, no one forced you to join.

I'm pretty sure I know what kind of puzzles you're talking about.

I've joined quite a few giveaways for puzzles like that on this site. ;)

Puzzles are meant to be "puzzling"...

Just clicking "enter" for a giveaway for a game that I want that's going to end up having 1,000+ entries is really boring.

I'd much rather use my brain and try to solve a puzzle for a giveaway that's going to have a lot less entrants thus raising my odds of winning that game that I actually want.

These puzzles are annoying and overrated as hell, just create a normal giveaway. That's what the system was created for in the first place. At least that way everyone has a equal chance of winning.

Puzzles are a great way to exercise your brain.

Oh, I noticed that you're in a lot of groups there. Why not just create a normal public giveaway? That's what the system was created for in the first place. At least that way everyone has a equal chance of winning. It's not fair to limit your giveaway to the 30-40 people in those groups!

Same goes for you,I've made more normal giveaways than all your giveaways combined. I know there are people that have created thousands of dollars worth of normal giveaways, I would probably have done the same if I was rich. I can only giveaway something when I have some spare money.

I disagree. They're perfect. I've stumbled upon quite a few puzzles I couldn't solve, but when I check the giveaway and see there's entries, I know it CAN be done and that I should tackle the situation from a different angle.

I think you give up to easily. As many others said, these guys give away free games. What's wrong with making you work for them a little bit?

I think it increases your chances of winning, because many people like you don't like them and don't bother solving them. So, there are fewer entries, which means better chances.

Are there puzzles that no one can solve? There were a few I think, but most are solvable. It's a reward for people who put some work into getting their prize instead of just a random selection. If you are too lazy to solve one then you don't deserve it.

Well, there are a lot of puzzle-less giweaways here. Actually they're the majority so I don't know which is your point. If you don't like puzzles just ignore them. You have to consider that there are people like me that are here almost ONLY for the puzzles :)

You are all HIGHLY confused about what he is talking about. If I somehow get a giftable game/dlc, I will make a puzzle giveaway to show exactly what he means. On the off chance that happens, expect the usual retarded no-question questions that make up 99% of puzzle giveaways here, as well as a part 2 with intelligent questions where you are told if you need to answer character, game, developer, etc. If I'm feeling nice, I will make the answers to part 1 and 2 match up so you can finish the quiz, while at the same time seeing how stupid most puzzle makers are when they put a picture/quote without telling you what you need to answer with

I think it's so terrible you're being forced to solve them. Damn, they really should do an option that allows us to make a giveaway for everyone, right? But no, that mandatory puzzle rule is so unfair. And when you don't manage to solve it because NOONE managed to solve it, you get locked out of entering giveaways and can't win your so deserved games. NOOOO!

Most of the puzzles I see are either a bunch of garbled bullshit or some rather deep shit that you have to be a big fan of the specific topic or genre to answer.

In the last week alone there have been like 5 or 6 puzzles specifically about video games/video game characters. o_O

I will admit that there are some puzzles that I've been unable to solve but with the amount of giveaways each day on this site it doesn't really matter.

If you only joined giveaways for games that you were actually going to play regardless of the type (puzzle, public, group etc) then I doubt you would have zero points left at the end of each day.

Note that I said most. These are pertaining to the ones I've seen, anyways.

I ain't asking anything to change either, a guy's giving out a game for free. I have no reason to complain. It's just an observation. I didn't join this site for free games, it was more for the community.
