It looks like the trailer on the Steam page is actually the trailer for the Unity asset ("80s Shoot'em Up Kit") that comprises this whole "game", from the Unity asset store. Watch to the end of the trailer if it's not clear enough from the beginning.

And, well, yeah, gee, look, here's that game trailer again: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/19886

...

The screenshots on Steam are screencaps of that same trailer... At this point, there's nothing to say that the person behind this has more than a video file.

Steam... come on, dude.

I don't know, this just seemed noteworthy. I think this is the most minimal effort I've seen put into flipping an asset onto Steam.

It's in the latest DIG bundle (120).

Valve don't give a duck

For example this dev, all games banned delisted for fake positive reviews.
6 months later, all reviews removed, welcome back in store 😈

Not removed. He re-registered and put the games up again as new products. You cannot see reviews because there really isn't any yet for them.

Different appID = new product. They are re-registered. All games have both editions on Steam right now:

As you can plainly see, all those "removed" reviews are actually still there, all of them: https://steamcommunity.com/app/486840/reviews/?p=1&browsefilter=toprated&filterLanguage=all
The new one even has a warning, because you can own both: http://steamcommunity.com/app/751660/discussions/0/1482109512308909662/

The asset pack itself looks like more or less cloned graphics from the R-Type series.

But yeah, that's SteamDirect for you, huh?

Temper Tantrum by Digital Homicide Studios, and basically every game they have "made" are removed from the store so no link.

What do you mean? The start of the video says "Complete sidescroller template for Unity" :D
Everything else published under that name is also of a similar..variety. Valve need to step up their game (oh..a pun!) and hire people who actually know how to spot stuff like that..

It would help if Valve added a "Not Interested" flag at the dev/publisher level.
They want to keep shit like this off the storefronts ? Let the user help by burying these asset flippers easily.

I dunno about Valve, but if I had a store and someone tried to publish more than 1 game a month, claiming them to be new games and not 10-year old re-releases, I'd be suspicious.

One of his other "games", too lazy even to come up with some original game names.

Love it. As they say: 'The only good thing about this title is the honesty in the game description.' Though the hardware requirements aren't bad either.

I'm sorely tempted to start flipping assets myself.

What bothers me is that there are people who will give a positive review nonetheless. As long as they make 0.10 cents in cards, it's an instant upvote. Valve should just start doing some actual quality control like they did before Greenlight and Direct.
