I know this has to do with the filetype and codecs and all. I was just wondering if maybe there was a program that allowed you to convert a video to the exact same settings of another (working) file. If that doesn't exist, I'll change the question into "What's the best video converting tool?".

I also use Format Factory a lot and haven't had any problems with it. You are also able to right click on a video file and see information about it.

If your having problems with viewing the videos, you could try using VLC Player or downloading a codec pack. Other than that, I know nothing; I also have trouble with video conversion stuff.

You need a software that shows you what kind of format and settings are used in the working/not working files. You can try with mediainfo for example.
