I've played Mass Effect, but I was looking for something with combat more similar to KOTOR. How is Dragon Age in that comparison? Are there any other RPG's that are similar, e.g. less action oriented and a bit more strategic.

Woah, I remember playing that when it came out and forgot all about it until now. I never knew it was on Steam. Thanks! I hope it goes on 75% off or something.

This

It's pretty much KotoR in Ancient Historically Inccurate China.

Also, it's 50% off on steam. First discount since 09. Pick it up :)

I really badly want to wait for it to be 75%, Bioware/Valve hear my plea.

You and me both.

If it does't get discounted during the christmas sale, I will get really sad.

50% off is better than not on sale at all. I wouldn't be surprised if this game didn't go on sale for another 2-3 years lol(Bet EA has something to do with that). Besides this game is worth it imo

Same here, I'd be all over a 75% off.
50% off is kinda "eh" in my book, since I already own it for the Xbox (but my Xbox is busted).

I was looking into getting TLR whenever if it becomes a daily deal or flash sale.

Kotor used Neverwinter mechanics if i remember right

Technically it used a modified Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 ruleset. This is common for classic Bioware. All their games used a Dungeons and Dragons ruleset of some description.

Dragon Age origins, baldur's gate, neverwinter nights 1 & 2. Good ones. And even though it's quite different, Fallout 1 & 2. Amazing games in any right.

Any great rpg could fit that description, but I didn't find kotor to involve too much strategy. I'll just list some classic rpgs and you can look them up and see if they are what you want. Fallout 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate, NWN 1/2, Dragon Age series, Jade Empire, Diablo Series, Divinity Series, and Planescape Torment. See if any of those are cool.
