What speed do you get when downloading games? (actual speed so not the amount you pay for if you know what i mean :)
I pay around $40 for this :3 had to sacrifice the tv tho :(

i live in the middle of the desert so my only option for internet was satellite that had a 10gig monthly cap with download speed of 1.2mbits/sec.
i just changed to a wifi point to point that is alot slower but with no cap. it fast enough to watch netflix 720p so its well worth having a lot slower speed over a monthly cap.
it takes about a hour for me to download 1 gig file size.

I arbitraily decided I want to replay DA:I but forgot I uninstalled it, therefore I'm getting about 2.25MB/sec on Origin right now! I've never experienced any internet faster than my home connection so I'm happy with it

I hate traffic limit. I would rather have an unlimited traffic with a lower speed, than to have a limited traffic with higher speed.
Just looked at some statistics in my router. Since the beginning of the month I downloaded 813.36GB and uploaded 965.32 GB.
35/20 mbps here, unlimited, R$80 or ~U$22.

I often get better download speeds from Origin than Steam. For Steam it's rare for me to get more than 10-11 MB/s, while from origin, it's usually 15-20 MB/s.

Jesus reading through this thread I just realized how well off I am.
On average I download at 11 to 12 MB/s, no cap and I pay 40 € / month for it.
Well worth the price imo as I can still watch netflix while downloading movies/games/the secrets to the universe.

The contract is 300/100Mbps. But my download is 30 Mb/s, and upload hits sometimes 2 mb/s.

So i just bought BF: Hardline for 4.99 and started downloading, then i noticed it was 42 GB..... so ive been waiting for 4 hours and cant play anything online now until its done :P since origin is not the fastest, i get 1-3 Mbps and so i was wondering what speed is average.
