StarDrive is it worth it?

So I have been watching this game on steam for like a week now and seen a few things out there about it. I wanted to know if anyone from this community has played it and what they think of the game.

Is this worth the $24.99 price tag right now or should I wait until price drops? I am really into these types of games and it seems to have a little FTL mechanics thrown in as well. This game looks good so far I just haven't had the chance to try it out myself.

only singleplayer on it? hmm if you really over those types of games, i think you should get it.

Single Player vs Multiplayer does not bother me for buying a game. Playtime vs Price is my biggest concern when I purchase a game. If I drop 60+hours on a full priced game then I think that that would be well worth the $$. So I am trying to find out if this game is gonna make me want to sink time into it. :)

I talked to a friend who got it early because I was curious too how it was, he said it's one of his favor strategy games since some of the titles he really liked in the 90s.

One of my favorite strategy games on 90s was Fragile Allegiance, if Stardrive has even some of the same charm I'll buy it :)

First I've heard of it; Looks pretty cool.

I'm going to wait until release/reviews etc. before deciding whether to pick it up or not. I've just started Endless Space, anyway.

Reminds me a lot of Space Pirates and Zombies but with more complexity and 3d graphics. I am definitely diggin' SPAZ so that's why this game interests me highly. I'm not sure how much these two really share in common but it reminds me of it so I will try to check this game out for sure. Plus I love a lot of space related games because space scares the hell out of me.
