Since people are so slow in marking a gift as received, why is the gift limit so small?

I have made 3 giveaways from which I have deleted one. The winners have been online after the giveaway ended but still didn't mark anything, and now have to keep waiting for that.

I understand that the current system is trying to accomplish fewer to none fake giveaways, but I really don't feel like making any giveaway anymore if I have to keep waiting a full week and maybe another re-roll, just for someone to mark it as received.

Deleting giveaways shrinks your limit for that amount of slots... forever...

You will earn more soon enough. I have over 300 slots myself. It just takes time.

its to avoid trolls signing up and making fake giveaways just to grief the site.

You start with 3, if you delete a giveaway you lose one permanently, for every 3 that finish and get marked received, you receive +1. Just deal, it gets better as you go (I can do 87 at a time now)

as for waiting, might i suggest private giveaways? They usually are good about marking them much fast than public ga's

Ah, so it doesn't have to do with contribution level.

And yes, I was actually about to make a private "puzzle" giveaway today, just for fun, but it seems like I can't now.
