Hey! I was inspired by the share a funfact whitelist recruitment thread and thought I would do my own! I do not have a lot of people on my whitelist, so I would like to expand it and once I have added a sufficient amount of people I will do a big giveaway (haven't decided what, but probably a highly wanted/expensive game)
Here is my only requirement, in the comments tell me something you are passionate about. I love to hear people talk about things they love so I thought that would be fun! If you want you can tell me why you are passionate about the thing, but you do not have to. It can be anything. I'll go first. I am very passionate about drag artists, as in drag queens, drag kings etc. I love drag, I think it's so fun and just watching drag performances makes me smile. I could talk about them all day.
Your turn! Everyone who tells me of a passion of theirs will be added to my WL, at least for a while until the thread gets too large.

I would say, that I'm most passionate about theater. I've been in school plays since elemantary school up until I graduated from high school. When I started university, I stopped though and after a few years I realized just how much I missed being involved in plays so I started looking for a troupe, that I could integrate in.
Ever since I found one I participate in multiple plays a year and I even directed one myself last year. If it wasn't for the restrictions, that a certain pandemic brought unto us, I would have directed another play this year. I am very blessed, that I have such a wonderful and patient team working with me though, so I hope, that next year will bring us a little more freedom to enjoy our hobby and make it the best performance we can.

Hmm, passionate is an interesting word choice. Where is the line between passion and preferred hobby or occupation? I'll take the things I really love doing and also talking about^^
I love music. I used to define myself way too much over my (obviously best in the world 🤪) musical taste and could spent hours haunting for new to me bands. I still collect CDs and vinyl, but being out to concerts hasn't been an option during the last two years.
I also love my houseplants, try to grow a little fruits and vegetables on my balcony and take care of a little public spot of earth close to my home.
Bookcrossing was another passion for me, but somehow I just can't get to it as available time and priorities have changed. Still I love to check up daily on my travelling books and their whereabouts ☺️

Aside from gaming and anime, I've gotten really invested in what I'm learning at university. Complicated mathematics, programming and web/app development, computer graphics, and soon we're going to learn to make 3D models and general image processing. I didn't know anything about these things before starting my program, and it really has opened up a whole new world for me.

What do you like about maths? I studied physics and after a few years that made me hate math. I would love to have a passion for scientific and deep subjects again.

I am very far from someone who is really passionate about maths, so I don't think I can help you with that. Learning it at a university level actually feels like your IQ is increasing in a spooky way. It's just kinda nice to sit in a lecture hall with my friends and going WTF at what we're learning, and then actually feeling like you understand things after solving exercises. Of course the math I'm learning has applications in other subjects too, for example linear algebra and computer graphics go hand in hand, so it's less about the subject itself and more what I gain from it.

Hey!
I started playing tabletop roleplaying games, like Dungeons and Dragons, a little more than a year ago. We played online, so battle maps was a big part of that. It sparked a memory of my pre-teen years when I helped with a RPGmaker project and constructed maps with tiles and assets. So I started doing that with DnD maps too. I find it relaxing to create a battle map. The maps tell a story, even if people who use them won't find it. I love personalizing NPCs houses with items that correspond with their occupation or interests.

I love geeking out on how to play games optimally. Mixing playing, thinking about it and watching others play well. It satisfies me to no end, even if I can't play perfectly myself.

I feel action games ironically work the best for this, since they often encourage experimentation. I wanna try out my idea without losing out on resources.

Strategy games have got too many variables, so while I respect the genre a lot I cannot for the life of me enjoy the games xD I get stressed out when I figure out what I lost when I did this, then bored when there's nothing new to do and I figured out the optimal way to do that. It either feels too punishing to experiment or too samey and drawn out to play. Gotta keep throwing things at me to figure out, without taking rewards away when I play around.

Roguelike are also great at encouraging experimentation, so I'm glad they are growing popular. Can't wait to play Returnal if PS5s are ever affordable. I leave the game, not when I've cleared it, but when I've figured it out, so the replayability and variety means I can spend more time playing without getting burned out, less time watching others.

One thing I could not live without is pets. Animals are fascinating, sharing my home with them and trying my best to keep them happy makes me feel good.

On a completely different topic, astronomy is absolutely mesmerizing, I spend way too much time watching videos and reading about that since my childhood.

It's a bit sad, but I realized I don't have any. It was (kinda) gaming before, but it's not anymore and looks like I failed to fill the empty space. Probably I need to try more things to find something.

my hobbies are pretty simple. this is anime and cooking. unfortunately, I am very lazy, so I like to cook simple things. but it still gives me pleasure to do it alone. I started watching anime at school, except for the old anime on TV like Sailor Moon or Pokemon. it also brought me closer to Japanese culture. now I watch anime every season and enjoy it every time, discovering something new for myself. I even started watching genres that I didn't like before, including old anime. sometimes it's worth a try, in case you like it! apparently it works for all things in life. I also really like arts, mostly Japanese of course. therefore, I am subscribed to many artists from Pixiv and Twitter

My passion is plants. The more unusual the better and bonus points if they are edible.
I just love the feeling you get from planting a seed to seeing it sprout and grow into something big over the years.
A small (it will be a very long list if I would name them all) sample of plants that I grow now are a pineapple, vanilla orchid, strelitzia (aka bird of paradise), cola herb (a herb that smells like coca cola bottle gummy), a peanutbutter tree (the leaves smell like peanutbutter).

Nice question :)
I am pretty passionate about my spiritual path, the development of my body and soul and sharing community with others. Then there is my kitty I love dearly, and my family and friends, who root me in this life.
I am passionate about love, about giving, nurturing and sharing. Oh, and I think my biggest passion is food. I love to cook, try out things I've never tasted before, and the thought of having breakfast often is what drives me out of bed :)

I can say my passion is pen. I love writing, calligraphy, drawing, planning, I even write programming tips to my notebook. I also love my tablet pen, which makes me able to do the same things on a computer. I design and make my own things. That's all because of pen.

My hobbies are collecting Dr. Pepper cans (listen, I live in a hellhole and it's a very rare drink to get), the ones with special promotions collaborations... I don't have a lot, but everytime I see one on the store I must get it and the other hobby is a more normal one: practicing bodyboard. I had to stop doing it for a long while but I want to reestart it soon and feel the magic of riding a wave again.

Fun fact: The place where I live has an annual drag queen show for the carnivals. It's pretty popular and one of the highlights of the festivities, but the focus is on the performance (musid and dance) and the "dress", not the drag queen itself like in the Ru Paul show.

I guess I can get very passionate about some games, though I usually try to rein in that because if I get too hooked I don't have time to play other games I also want to play. Last time it happened was with Hitman, it's so easy to go try for yet another in-game achievement and spend hours on it..
