Hey! I was inspired by the share a funfact whitelist recruitment thread and thought I would do my own! I do not have a lot of people on my whitelist, so I would like to expand it and once I have added a sufficient amount of people I will do a big giveaway (haven't decided what, but probably a highly wanted/expensive game)
Here is my only requirement, in the comments tell me something you are passionate about. I love to hear people talk about things they love so I thought that would be fun! If you want you can tell me why you are passionate about the thing, but you do not have to. It can be anything. I'll go first. I am very passionate about drag artists, as in drag queens, drag kings etc. I love drag, I think it's so fun and just watching drag performances makes me smile. I could talk about them all day.
Your turn! Everyone who tells me of a passion of theirs will be added to my WL, at least for a while until the thread gets too large.

A camp for kids that I'm doing every year.
Last year has been the first time in over 10 years that I had to cancel it relative spontaneously due to other stuff. Hurts :/
Getting together and working with awesome people, singing, fire, camping, the children and seeing them grow up to be part of the team is just nice.

I love comic books! I try to read at least a volume a week. Some of my faves are Nimona by Noelle Stevenson, On a Sunbeam by Tilly Walden, Tank Girl by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett, The Wicked + The Divine by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie and Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley.

I also like drag but it became so commercialized and repetitive, all the international versions of Drag Race are basically the same show. I'm still looking forward to season 14 and the chocolate bar twist. I did like the last season of Canada's DR but I think the part I enjoyed the most was lack of Rupaul! and Pythia should have won!
My current fave drag competition is Dragula - i find the blend of creepiness and sexiness so entertaining!

I love both drag race and dragula! Though drag race is definitely becoming very repetitive, I still enjoy it. Dragula is so fresh and super fun I really enjoy it.

Have you seen Queen of the Universe? I watched drag race with my family but haven't in a while since I've been at college. Was interested in Queen of the Universe but haven't seen it.

Yeah, it's like a direct spinoff of RPDR so if you felt that DR was repetitive or formulaic I was wondering how you felt about that show. Right now I'm just rewatching criminal minds to watch the seasons that weren't on netflix lol.

I have. I liked the cast, a lot of talented queens and the judges panel was very funny! But the show had only 6 episodes so they had to cut a lot of contestants out early on. If you like singing competitions, then you'll probably enjoy Queen of the Universe. I'm hoping it gets a longer run for season 2 and maybe more challenges where the queens have to write their own lyrics, because I enjoyed the song-writing challenge on season 1 a whole damn lot!

ha! I do enjoy that song. The Boulet Brother's Dragula is a drag competition show, kind of like rupaul's drag race but focusing on more alt, punk, horror etc drag.

cats/cat rescues! I spend most of my time at a local cat shelter. :) also I have 3 cats at home. I'm all about trying to be friends with feral cats, learning everything about cats, spending my days with cats, and all adopting cats from rescues and getting them fixed to help with the population. :D

My passion is cooking. I especially like making flour based stuff like pizzas, Turkish pides, cakes and other sorts of pastries.

I also like pencil drawing and when I feel really creative I try my hand at making video game concepts (complete with storyboards, gameplay mechanics and concept arts)

Well, it might be a little weird, but I'm passionate about people, particularly people with disabilities. I'm a passionate advocate for people who have developmental, physical, or intellectual disabilities. My best friend in the entire world is on the spectrum (asperger's/autisim) and I want to help build a better support network for her, as well as other people who need it.
I don't want equality, I want equity. Equality is giving everyone the same thing or support but equity is giving everyone person-centered support for what they need. It's my job as a healthcare worker, but it's also my lifelong passion to help provide equity in my care and support for other people. I'm extremely passionate about being a better person and building up other people!

Not sure how much of a passion this is, but I been playing DnD for over a year now. I don't do as much research as some of my friends but I enjoy learning the game and how to handle different scenarios as the game present itself to me. I love making new classes and trying out all of their new abilities and moves. I really enjoy the DM making homebrew for us to play. We take turn hosting each week and we continue to play our campaign. Thus far we have completed 2 full campaign through the use of books and homebrew. Very nerdy role playing but I'm glad I got some good friends to play it with.

I'm passionate about improving society. I spend a lot time reading research papers and I follow the discussions between economists on a daily basis. The research related to Economic rent and Carbon dividend is particularly interesting.
I can recommend the following two urls as a starting point to anyone interested:

I got back into miniature painting during the lockdown in 2020, alongside my then partner. She and I broke up but I've kept painting and now host a weekly meetup for it where a few friends get together at a local board game cafe and spend a few hours hanging out, perfecting our hobby, and enjoying some peace in the middle of a hectic life. Sometimes we even stop painting long enough to use them in tabletop games.

I love reading, listening, and pondering famous quotes from philsophers & wisemen.

  • Philosophy is a battle against the bewitchment of our intelligence by means of language. ~Ludwig
  • It is hard enough to remember my opinions, without also remembering my reasons for them! ~Nietzsche

and the best for last, DR SEUSS!

  • Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try.
