I preordered South park the stick of truth and just loved it :D

Right now i have Civilization beyond earth and the binding of isaac preordered and im just waiting to play them! :)

GTA V when it came out for the 360.. got screwed by the shop I preordered from as even though I notified them that I would only be able to drop in from work on day2 to pick it up they went ahead and sold my copy on release day to some other dude.. had to wait a week to get another one. as one could imagine it was the last time I bought anything from them.

also, I preordered Diablo 3 for the pc, which I hated at release but since the expansion I am having a blast with it. :)

Dead Rising 3 and its <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 totaly worth it ^.^

I pre-ordered a lot more on console, but I still do it on PC espc if the game is available from another region as the prices typically start at 50% off already. The key there is to activate it IMMEDIATELY. I've done this 5-10x and never had something retroactively locked. Ive seen games I pre-order get locked after release, but I already had it activated and Ive never lost a game due to a retro lock. I mean hell, I got South Park for 8 TF2 keys 3 weeks before release and its still not reached that price level. There are sometimes too many good deals to pass up espc if its something I really want.

True Pre-order (meaning full price) Ive not done on the PC at all, but I will consider depending on the game. I put a lot of hours into FIFA, so I pre-ordered FIFA 15 but I still had a coupon to drop the price 15 bucks. GTA V may break my no full price pre-order streak, as I still havent played it (got rid of my console before release) and I also want Hotline Miami 2, but that wont be locked so it'll cheaper as soon as its available for pre-order via trade.

I'd say my biggest regret from a PC pre-order is Thief. I got it for 5 TF2 keys via one of those AMD promos about 3 months before release. It wasnt a bad loss tho. Its just a boring game. Usually my pre-orders are almost exclusively for something I really want and plan on playing immediately. I do want AC Unity and the new COD, but both of those are region locked and I wont pay full price for either. Biggest all time pre-order regret was Turok on Xbox 360. Fuck that game.

Tales of Xillia Collector's Edition. I was happy with the physical goods, but the game disappointed me.
Ys Memories of Celceta Collector's Edition. I was very pleased with everything.
Gears of War 3 Limited Edition. Loved the whole package.

I usually only preorder if I'm going to get a special edition that I know will sell out, or if the game itself will sell out, or if I want a reminder on the release date and it's a game I want to play immediately.

Pre Ordered Alien: Isolation, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and The Evil Within. I hope they will be good. But the worst pre-ordered game was: Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified for PS Vita. Other than that all pre-ordered games were pretty good: Bulletstorm, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, South Park The Stick of Truth and Killzone Mercenary for PS Vita

I only pre-order things that I think will be out of stock quickly. ex: Persona Q Premium Edition, Any figures I want (dat Link Nendo tho), or if I have extra money to throw around and don't particularly want anything I'll put money on something I know I won't have tons of money for when it comes out (P4AU, Hyrule Warriors, and Smash 3ds come out within 10 days of eachother).
But I'd never preorder anything on steam because I'd rather just wait for a sale.

I preordered a Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Edition, Murdered: Soul Suspect (AMD Never Settle if that counts :P), Street Fighter x Tekken (won it here, so idk if that counts ^^), Dead Rising 3 (traded RU version), Borderlands 2 Season Pass....so I got most of them cheaper, most likely wouldn't preorder it at full price.

On the game side of things, too many to recall. Batman: Arkham City and Origins for sure though, after playing Asylum. Enjoyed City, Origins was a little lacking.

I used to pre order games all of the time back when I played on xbox, since I moved over to steam though I just wait for them to drop in the sales. Saved so much money.

I'm a huge fan of old consoles, and remember having a blast with the 8-bit version (for NES, i believe)

Yes a lot. My most favorite pre-order GTA IV on the PS3, even today, i can play this game all day and not only multiplayer, but free-roam and a lot of mission play.

no need for preorder since you can get every game digital only (cannot be sold out).

i just wait at least a week after release to be sure the first reviews are ok and its not an "early beta" version. then depending on the reviews i buy or wait until price drops. i rarely buy full price games - better invest some in hardware and play 0.5-1 year later a game with less bugs for half the price.

Sims 2. It was a huge upgrade from the original Sims. And I still play 2 even today.
