i have no interest in buying Bioshock on day 1, yet i'm VERY excited about this.
Have been looking for xcom for a looong time, but it never dropped under 20$ish - if they reach the goal, steamtrades will probably be overflowing with cheap copies, and i'll be able to finally play that damn game.

I am interested in XCom so maybe I would have bought it from Steam if they did not have regional pricing. As it is however I have to pay the equivalent of 65 USD for a game that might not even be that great and pre-order bonuses that might not unlock. Sorry but pass.

I look at this from my point of view. Bioshock Infinite is 50€ here on steam EU2 region (that's $66) and it's also sold in retail here for 850CZK (that's 33€/$44). XCOM was just on sale at gmg for $16 with coupon. Gonna pay $22 more for chance to get game that was $16 today. Yeah, that's gonna happen. Seriously, its pathetic how are publishers milking digital distribution, they get like 70% of price instead of about 30% in retail and it's still more expensive.

Trust me on this, Bioshock Infinite is worth it alone. Getting 2 extra games and a bunch of TF2 items is all profit.

Yeah, I know it's worth it. Bioshock Infinite and XCOM are pretty much 2 of the games I have top interest in right now.
The problem is the price. 30£ goes way above the usual "max cost I'm willing to give" I've set for myself. And buying the pre-order goes completely against my golden rule of "75% off or no deal"... and breaking the golder rule hasn't led to good things before.
So I guess I'll meditate over it or something... ^_^'

You remind me of myself, during my University days lol. I always had a tight budget when it came to games. Now, with a job, not so much lol.
Remember, that £30 is split between 3 games and exclusive TF2 items! You could sell the items and gain back some cash. It's your decision though, I'm not going to put any more pressure on you because I know what it's like. Luckily you've still got time to think about it ^^

I thought this too, but my worry is if it doesn't actually reach the top and XCOM isn't unlocked. GMG is £6 cheaper and also offers 2 instant games, but no TF2 items. I'm sure the 2nd reward will be unlocked in the time. I mean, we have a month left, but if XCOM isn't unlocked I won't be happy :(

The Bioshock Infinite Steam pre-order rewards are the best anyone has ever seen. All pre-order rewards for other games on Steam have been unlocked in the past. Bioshock Infinite has more hype than any of those others. The first reward was reached in a matter of hours.
Is that enough reason to buy the Steam version? :P

It's a little strange how every game has reached the final tier so far. Maybe Steam have a system where it takes less and less people to buy as the rewards get unlocked.
