You have unlocked the "Blacklist"-DLC.
Veteran players of SG may invite you to the "Whitelist"-DLC now, since they now know of your existence. But most veterans will only send you the secret invite link when your /played will be much, much higher.

You have unlocked...
Yep, both seems to be unlocked :D

Thank you! At first I was thinking that getting to high level is important, but already can see that it is just a slight advantage in public giveaways, no more than that. All the fun is hidden in groups and communities where the level is not so important :)

Too good in fact, we need a sequel to this masterpiece! More QOL updates! Unlimited power with endless depression and a masterful story mode!

Ha! When teaching students how to insert an image in Microsoft Word, I have them enter "The best computer student". Then I have them insert that cat at the keyboard. :)

You did a lot in just a month of joining. I remember when I joined my first month was like: "I'm just going to try everything to see if this is real." I joined on Jul 4, 2021. My first game won was on Sep 9, 2021, but that was only after I felt like I needed to invest in the community to see if there's any returns. So, it happened that I ended up with a spare key. I have my very first on Aug 22, 2021, a month later after joining Steamgifts.
I then realized that giving is as fun as receiving. So, my journey started.
I only started joining groups 5-6 months later. I wanted people to get accustomed to me and I get accustomed to them as I find the community quite pleasant.
Welcome to Steamgifts!

Thanks! I think that this (in my case) is just a coincidence. I was struggling to find something that will drive my attention from the reality and will replace doom-scrolling. Steamgifts turned out to be a great replacement of the doom-scrolling :) There are so many game I wasn't even aware about (2,534 games have been added to your filter list), checking each of them, deciding if I will want or not to play them - that is really taking up some time and "mind space". And then I learned more about community, met some good people and learned about other sides of the "service". I'm finally playing games actually - that is already a win for me :)

Welcome to the game.I hope you stay for a LOOOOOOng time.Like Eternity and such. The site is great, general community is great and the GAs,ofcourse are great. There are some people, however, who blacklist for no reason at all or for doing a GA,I mean GAs are supposed to be the plot of this "game" but some users will blacklist you for doing just that, don't mind them and enjoy all the GAs(getting and giving).Peace.

Thanks! I hope so too :)
I'm still figuring out how I feel about black and white lists. But it is definitely an extremely interesting component of everything what happens here and, especially regarding blacklists - very often makes no sense :)

You are the first person I interacted here:)
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yep. I'm even in process of making my first puzzle, hope it won't be bad :)
Yeah, I noticed. I solved the first one. But can't even find the second one.
It was well done imo. All the best!

Ratings are always subjective ¯_(ツ)_/¯
And take into account that I am a noob and over time I can change my mind.
But from my point of view most of listed things are improved (to some extent) by the community :) Though there are lot of room for improvements on the developers side for sure .

Sorry, missed your message :(
English is not my native, so I probably misunderstood you.
So yes, overall I think the community is helping to make this place a better place. Including in aspects you have listed.

It's been a month since I stumbled upon and started playing Steamgifts. The game hooked me and I decided to write a short review on it.
At first glance, the game is very primitive with meager mechanics. But this is an erroneous impression.
The developers really laid down only the basic functionality and, if you won’t try to figure it out, the whole game will be no better than an ordinary clicker… But once you understand the role of the community in the game - the game will reveal its full potential.
Wide range of factions to join
Of course you can play solo, but this way you will limit your player experience. In the vastness of Steamgifts you can find clans and societies (both open and closed (and even hidden!)) of all possible alignments. From Lawful good to Chaotic evil and everything between.
I was lucky enough to discover some assassins to fight my backlog along with nice group of people who thinks that games are actually worth playing and one more group with regular joined raids on their wins :)
Community made mods and addons
One more aspect of the game that makes it more pleasant. There are puzzles and events (some of which are small good games in their own right) here and there conducted by regular players. For a while I did not notice some of them, but as soon as I read zelgh magic guide to basic sg puzzling I began to notice more such events.
And there are plenty of mods that can be used on top of the Steamgifts - my mod of choice is the Enhanced SteamGifts (ESGST) - with it, the game interface becomes much more pleasant and richer in function.
My overall rating: ★★★★☆
Thank you for reading to the end :) My first discussion topic here, and I'm a little worried about how appropriate such a post is. Using some community advice for the future would be helpful for me. Zero critics here? I don't think so. Getting feedback is always important.
