It was never a thing directly on Steamgifts.
If you open your eyes on user profiles or steam you might find a group that has a name like it and who´s purpose is pretty much what you wrote.
I do not want to give a even more obvious hint to not risk violating the no trade in forum rule.

The steam group is alive and active, people split bundles there as it counts as trading - which is not allowed on SG, that's why you don't find topics :)

I see Group Buy as an option in bundle polls, but never really thought about it until today... So I did a search and the newest keyword for that was 2 years old, with the others 8+ years old.
When I think of group buy, I think 10 games and people want some of them so they go in on them together. e.g. 10 games are $10 and I want 5 and you want 5 so we each put up 5.
However, the 2yo post was about buying second hand bundles on IG from mass buyers which isnt of interest to me.
Just curious if that is still a thing or it faded out. Thx!
