I just got Brink for my birthday so was pleased to hear I was in time for the free DLC.

Brink, Dungeon Siege III, Duke Nukem Forever - if you're in the UK and want to buy any of these, buy retail! Got all 3 for £30 and all activate on Steam. Only had a quick play of each of them so far but Brink is pretty sweet :)

I applaud this. Give people a "free" timed dlc to give them a taste to see if it's worth buying. All dlc should do this, or atleast most of them. There's a lot of dlc that is questionable upon first glance. It'd be great to see if you want it or not.

It's more of "Please stop leaving our game guys! Play! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE" attempt.

The DLC is free if you get it now period. It will only cost money if you buy Brink a year from now and get the DLC then.

If I download Brink over the free Weekend, add and activate the DLC, will it be there if I buy brink sometime in the future?

Does not work as you have to actually own it on your account, the time-based trials is something else.
