I'm not gay and I don't even get some of the genders or sexualities that may or not be a thing these days and I increasingly feel very old. But I have had friends and colleagues who have been gay and I have come to understand their struggles and I have actually had a really great time any time I have ended up going to a gay bar. Some stuff can be difficult to wrap your head round but always take the trouble to have a few drinks with somebody and listen to them before you start to get judgemental, and I feel that half-assed message deserves a few random giveaways;

I was into a girl many many years ago, and she invited me to go to a gay bar with her. She had a lot of gay friends so she went there quite often.
All her friends, while they knew I was there for her, started telling me, and her, how I'm actually gay...
Not the best night...
I'm still straight, their gaydar must have been acting up, I think they were not used to introverts.

Friendly reminder that June is also National Safety Month, PTSD Awareness Month, Cataract Awareness Month and Turkey Lovers' Month (And likely a few extra) , in case someone feels left out.
edit: I think two years ago someone complained about why LGBT people have their own topic while there are so many other "awareness month" things linked to June, and they don't have a separate topic. Anyone can make one if they feel and important thing is ignored. For example PTSD awareness is not a small thing either.
