โค๏ธ๐๐๐๐I still remember being in high school and waking up to that news that morning... cried so much tears from the overwhelming and surprising news. One of the most unforgettable moment of my life and in history.
This month went by so fast and so with that, Happy Pride to you all again. <3 Hope everyone is safe and was able to celebrate on some way, whether it was through online, your partner, with friends or family (blood one or not). All of our situations / circumstances are so different and all I wish for is that... good things happened and will happen.

I remember jumping on my phone to ask my best friend when his dad was getting married! He'd been campaigning for it for so long, I think he thought it would not happen in his lifetime and yet it did. I don't think I've ever seen anyone, even children, as happy as this 70 year old man was on the day of his wedding. He was holding the hand of his husband so tight as if he was afraid he would float away if he wasn't. Took way too long but whatever, it changed and that's what matters.
Happy Pride before July comes and takes June away, but not our pride, away from us!

Oh my gosh, that is beautiful and I feel happy for your best-friend's dad / marriage. <3 Thank you for sharing their story, it really made me smile. I'm from a younger generation, so while this legalization made beyond happy, I can only imagine how much more stronger the impact and importance it had on older LGBT+ folks / generations.

Heh even my girlfriend who is not at all into wedding or the idea of marriage in general cried pretty much all day so it was a truly beautiful one. They never needed a piece of paper to love each other but it felt like a celebration of their love with all their (big) family and friends and it was very emotional.

And yep they are happy and very much in love. As a child of divorce, it's a true inspiration. Still berating politicians that are on tv and complaining like two old dudes about youg'ns and playing with their many grandchildren. I want to be like them when I grow old! lol

Many LGBTQ+ people wait all year for this one month, the streets get painted with rainbows, motivational queer and trans speakers share their stories, and we are all reminded how far we've come for LGBTQ+rights and how much more we have to fight to be treated fairly. =3
