over. ive always thought under was an american thing.. you know... their desire to do things differently than everyone else JUST for the SAKE of doing things differently, even if its a worse way of doing it.

Lol. Not exactly the whole thought process. A lot of our culture has been handed down from angry men hundreds of years ago that wanted to spite the people they hate, but today it is done the way it is done simply because that is how it is done. No special reason. On topic though Americans usually prefer over.

not to mention we inherited a lot of our bullshit from england anyway. spelling is mostly based on the way europe used to do it before they rewrote the rules(with the rest as us filling in the gaps of things that were never properly defined before the split), we use imperial measurements ect. feet may be stupid but its too much a pain in the ass to switch now and its england's old system anyway.

besides its not like the driving on the wrong side of the road thing england does is the "right way" its pointlessly different and switches again at the borders

Most Americans prefer over, but I guess it's considered high-class to put it under, so that the last sheet is less visible. I guess it makes the toilet paper seem more like a decorative object, and less like something you're going to wipe your butt with.

Over, but I actually keep two rolls of TP handy. One is the shitty thin toilet paper that feels like sandpaper and the other is the triple-layer plush. When I poop I put some of the thin TP in the bowl to cushion my shits and prevent backsplash on my balls, and I wipe with the good TP.

Over, cuz if it's under, then you have to pull it that extra sheet out, and then it's dangling away from the roll (who knows what goes on that far from the roll). That REALLY irritates me. That or pulling hard to get that crisp edge and ripping a sheet in half. I hate that . >:(
