I've sent a message at the moment, asking how I could prove it since it is an IndieRoyale, but since it is digital, I'm really not sure if they'd accept that. I'll wait for their next reply, and then try what they suggest. At the moment, I'm just a bit miffed that it took 4 days for them to get to this point.

I lost my account recently and got it back after a week. Just wait for their replies, they're very busy
They told me the exact same thing. I tried to tell them I could prove my ownership by putting my ticket reference number on my humble bundle page, then they replied:
"Hello Malektaktak,
We can verify your account information through the gifts you have received.
Steam account name you received the gifts from:
Complete cardholder billing information (name and billing address):
Last 4 digits of credit card number, card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), and card expiration date:
Valid daytime phone number including country code (if applicable) or area code:
Please request this information from the gifter and reply to this ticket, or have the gifter write us directly and reference your ticket to approve the gifts.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation."
Then, it was kinda easy, I had to contact a friend that has gifted me a game before, pasted him this post and gave him my ticket number, then he just needed to create a ticket with the informations, sent me his ticket number and voila! They sent me an e-mail with my new pass and all.
Just wait for their answer, they don't reply instantly :)

Not sure, but...
Glad I missed the chance to buy the bundle?

Well besides submitting the Nuclear Dawn CD key from the indie bundle, you could also contact the indie royale support. Personally i haven't had any problem with it, in fact steam is running as we speak, maybe its just a simple mistake by their part, hopefully it is.

I could say I'm glad I never bought any of their stuff.

you can trust them, Indieroyale is made by DesuraNET Pty Ltd. (Desura, ModDB, IndieDB, etc). I dont think that such a company would be that stupid and hand out hacked keys or sth like that.

First I have heard of this. My Indie Royale games all work fine on Steam including Nuclear Dawn (The main reason I also bought it.) Steam must not recognize it as being from a Bundle for some reason and you somehow were given a flagged retail key. Makes no sense.

I haven't got around to playing that game yet, but I have activated my game and had no issues as of yet. I'm sure if you explain you call/email IndieRoyale and explain the situation they can give some advice. Even steam should be able to understand, as I am sure they are aware of what bundles are floating around. Mistakes do happen.

I remember having read something about flagged keys on the Indie Royale Twitter page. They said something about "not their fault". I guess this wouldn't have happened, if the IR had Bundle keys - I guess now you can't do very much but contact Steam and IR and do what they say :(

I have bought every IndieRoyale bundle. Haven`t had any problems so far.

Was about to say this. Maybe they're just trying to verify that the holder of the support account is the legit owner of the Steam account, so they asked for proof of purchase for any retail game on your account.
Only Steam seems to have no concept of "foreign" keys from third-party sites (such as Indie Royale or Green Man Gaming); their origin is always recorded as retail, same as actual retail-bought games.
Maybe it has something to do with the way game devs generate keys, but anything I redeemed with a Steam key shows up as retail in my account.

I wish my Amazon Digital dl games could be activated on Steam.. :( They can't; even though Steam has them for sale. (Or perhaps because Steam sells them for 10x the price.) But I am thankful for them (all our games are donated.)
This sounds like some one else is trying too claim your account as theirs and Steam is trying to figure it out the only way they know how. (Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But I have to change my password too the Steam Forums everyday for Steam thinks I change computers even though I only have 1.)

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that now, especially as it's Fallout New Vegas, which I must've redeemed months ago now, I've had it for so long. Initirally, The way they put it, I thought it was IndieRoyale, because of the timing mostly.
Anyways, if it is someone trying to claim my account, Then may they burn in the fiery pits of hell.

My assumption is that this is a simple mistake and they either got a red flag tripped and asked for the last retail key that was activated on your account for verification purposes and it happened to be an IndieRoyale purchase, since they changed it to the 2nd last retail purchase which was fallout NV for you.
Or.
There was a mix up and 2 people got the same keys and someone put in a ticket to steam saying someone's used their key and you're involved in an unfortunate mix up.

It's not a failure on their part. They need a CD Key for proof of ownership of account. They just chose one at random of games you have redeemed cd keys for. It's not like steam support automatically knows that nuclear dawn = indie royale.

So you've sent them a picture of a retail CD key you bought in-store? That is what they will be looking for and they will be selecting random retail CD keys from your gamelist.
If you own one of disc, then show them the CD key on your case. If you don't own one on disc, let them know.

This, very important.
Was your account protected by Steam Guard as well? Since your ownership is being disputed.

Original title - IndieRoyale Safety Concern.
EDIT - This has now been resolved with IndieRoyale at least, and they are not involved. There is nothing wrong with the keys at all, and there is no reason to be concerned. It turned out to be steam completely screwing me around asking for multiple CD keys for god knows what repeatedly, and it just happened to be bad timing.
First off, I will say, that I am not sure if the problem here is with IndieRoyale, or Steam Support.
Basically, here's the deal. I bought IndieRoyale for myself, as you do, because it had Nuclear Dawn in, and it's cheap. I'm not the only oen to have done that, and I'm sure i wasn't the last either. Everything was fine for a few days, but then what happened is that I could no longer access my steam account. Did the usual, restarted steam, restarted computer, and was then met with a message saying my account was suspeneded.
Of course, I didn't knwow hy at the time, so I sent a ticket to Steam Support. 4 days later, after a bit of back and forth, I recieved this reply.
reply
Now this, is why I'm making the thread, has anyone else had a similar problem with IndieRoyale?
