I made a GA after the zeroed date from my Choice key leftovers and someone brought this to my attention today.

Any explanation would be appreciated and why it took four months to make it worthless, thanks.

If iirc it was one of the "giveaways" on that certain twitch channel, although it could have also due to the prices on gray sites, but I think it's the former.

Yup. It's definitely the former. 1250 copies were given away on that certain twitch channel on March 16th.

Thanks for the confirmation, gosh it wasn't really that long ago but it really feels like it to me ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

I'd also check any other leftover keys you have if cv is important, the guy running it has had more than a few giveaways of Humble Choice games acquired via gray sites recently and seems like there are more in the pipeline.

That's good to know, if it's who I think it is, it's a bit unfair to penalise us for things out of our control like that especially several months later.

In case anyone is wondering, the next game that will be given away in presumably the same way is Bravery and Greed on the 15th June.

I believe there's a lag in processing the cv values. It could certainly come as a shock if people aren't aware. I've done a quick flick through the FreeGamesFindings subreddit and these are the ones that have been given away recently - Amanda the Adventurer (this past weekend), Mediteranea Inferno (week before last), Citizen Sleeper (May), sprawl (may I think), Black Skylands (April iirc), Excavation of Jobs Barrow (April?), Snowtopia Ski resort builder (April?), Destroyer the U-boat hunter (March/April?), the Amazing American Circus (March?), Fashion Police Squad (may). There could be more I haven't done a complete search.

There have been others but they've been under 500 keys.

Thanks for the list, very useful. I'll keep tabs on that subreddit too.

No probs, the subreddit has been an amazing source of free stuff for me and even if one's not interested in that it can at least give you a heads up as to what games are about to hit 0cv

On your original comment, the giveaway is what makes it "No Value", the price on gray market (or rather due to the Humble Bundle Choice) is why it was placed on "Reduced Value".

But just something funny I saw was the week following the announcement but before the giveaway that the twitch channel said they were going to give out mediterranea inferno, this site was flooded with people dumping their keys to get at least reduced CV before it tanked to "No CV". Interestingly enough though it seems that the game was placed on "No CV" on May 23rd when the giveaway was June 1st and was announced on May 22nd.

I see the pattern of all the giveaways they announce going no cv before the giveaway actually occurs.
usually no cv date being set same or next day.

it is a little unfair for those with keys they bought.
that streamer alone is going to be killing the cv status(could say they put a hit squad out on CV) for basically all the filler games in choice bundles because they go super cheap on gray markets pretty quickly.

Well, that's not good... I hope those affected have been making tickets to get the 'no CV' dates fixed.

As kindly answered, yes it's the same, the operator has indicated a switch to more substantive quality giveaways over quantity ones, which at this point seems to be code for Humble Choice and select other games that are real cheap on grey sites, with raffles for some higher quality games. I don't know how long the policy will continue but it seems that for the time being the cheaper (in grey site price) Choice games seem to be coming through on a roughly weekly basis.

You can't give away EGS keys last time I checked here but you're right. Plenty of games have overlapped with Choice to be given away for free later.
