Like the title says, I'm unsure if I should keep em and try to trade with them, or if I should give em out on steamgifts here. I'm not sure how exactly to work the steam trades site so I've been a bit hesitant on posting there (I mean, where are the guidelines even? I can' find them...)

I'm after a $5 DLC for Xcom 2 (The resistance warrior pack, it's the only DLC I don't have for the game and I want to complete my collection), and I have 10 leftover games from humble bundle that I don't have any intention of playing/activating on my account. I'm unsure the value of leftover bundled games so I don't know if offering them is a great trade or not...

(They're from the Rockstar bundle and Humble best of 2017 if that makes a difference)

Should I try to trade, or give them away?

Can you list the games out? You don't need to say them here if you want. Also, how to get to the guidelines in the image below.

Sure, I have the following:

GTA Episodes from Liberty city
GTA 3
GTA San andreas
GTA Vice City
Manhunt
Max Payne
Max Payne 2
Max Payne 3
Hacknet
Verdun

Also, I assume then that the general guidelines just extend to steamtrades then? (I'm talking about the sister site you get when you click "Trades" at the top)

Personally I'd recommend using barter.vg or Indie Game Swap instead since both of them are moderated (unlike Steamtrades where if something goes wrong there's no support). There's also Lestrades which is also moderated, but I haven't really used it.

That's good to know, thanks! I'll take a peek over there.

For some reason, SteamTrades has its helpful links at the bottom of the page, instead of at the top of the page like SteamGifts.

https://www.steamtrades.com/about/guidelines
https://www.steamtrades.com/legal/terms-of-service
https://www.steamtrades.com/about/comment-formatting

I've used ST a few times and it went okay. But the site is not moderated or supported at all, so you are on your own. If you're not comfortable with that, another site may be more appropriate for you.

I see. Yeah, if it's unmoderated I think I'm going to try another site. Thank you!

I recommend https://barter.vg/ you can create a tradable and wishlist there and find matches with people that have what you want and want what you have :)

Thank you! According to the site nobody is trading the DLC I want sadly :/

In the worst case, you can sell those games on Group Buy. I don't remember the split prices, but it should be more than enough to buy the DLC you want.

I'd usually say, "I WANT THEM ALL PLEASE GIVE AWAY." Gibs are always welcome.

But since those games have already been bundled and will be worth less CV here, even though they're decent quality, you'd probably be better off trading them (at least some). For example... you'd get pretty much nothing for giving away Max Payne 3, but I think a lot of people would actually want it.

Upside of trading is that there's more chance the people you trade with will actually play the game, too, so there's that.

It was wrong of Riedy to initiate a trade here on SteamGifts. You want to avoid getting entangled in that.

Ah I see. Sorry, I was unaware that it was completely off limits. Both parties were satisfied with the trade at least so nothing bad happened.

(Side note, hell of a necropost here :P)

Wow, initiating a trade on SG instead of ST is worthy of a permanent suspension?!

Wow.

Not usually, no. There were other factors involved, however.

I'm not saying that some of the suspensions haven't been warranted, but it seems to me that there have been a rather large increase in them, especially with people that you wouldn't expect to get one.
