I'd like to know too. I played the free version and while it wasn't super great, it wasn't that bad. And from what they're advertising, it seems maybe worth 5 dollars, 10 being a stretch.

if this game wins game of the year for 2013 from a respected game publishers I will give you one team fortress 2 craft hat.
IF you concede defeat at any time the bet is over and you will owe me 1 Team fortress 2 scrap metal, if you refuse to concede defeat, it will be assumed you lost if at January 1st 2014 this game has not won "game of the year" from a respectable source. Note conceding defeat prior to 2014 will end this bet in my favor requiring the above payout.
If any disputes occur about the concept of "respectable source" for game of the year we will ask for impartial arbitration from a steamgifts admin or another agreed upon third party.

WHAT THE HELL? I think you played different game...
For me it was unplayable due to "community" aka retarded children, trolls etc. Everything you built was soon destroyed by your team-mates, covers, even bridge you were standing on, while trying to get on the other side. Tons of people ignored battle and wandered around, etc. etc.
That's problem with every free game.

You've been asked repeatedly by multiple people on this thread to elaborate, no, even explain the basis of your critique of this game, and all you do is go "no see, you won't like it, really", or launch into a thorough explanation of how we won't like it. Can you now actually answer what everyone's asking?

I'm way to stoned to write this out so here is a review from metacritic
A total disgrace to the original Ace of Spades. The original AoS was great, not because it had super fancy graphics (which it didn't), it was great because of the pure awesome gameplay. It was very easy to master and there were so many things you could do on it. You could join an arena server and battle it out on a blocky version of de_dust2. Or build a tower to the heavens before the other team, occasionally knocking over their tower by tunneling to their base shooting their supporting blocks. The Jagex AoS has neither of these two gamemodes, or even a simple capture the intel mode. In the original AoS, you could create your own servers for your friends or to host a new gamemode that you scripted and thought people might enjoy playing. In Jagex-Spades, all of the servers are hosted my Jagex and have gigantic lag issues. A huge issue of the new AoS is system requirements. In the original AoS, you could play it smoothly on any computer. In the New-Spades-Jagex-Ace version, you need a very good computer to run it, and most of the original fanbase can't actually run the game. I have also read some horrible reviews about this games current status, and that it was far from being worthy to be released as a paid product on steam. One review said that he considered it to barely be in the beginning stages of beta. I also read here on SG that the dev's delete any comment that they don't like and ban them from their section of steam forum, even if the comment was only to try and better the product with ideas on how to fix some things. The game looks pretty cool and could be pretty fun though.
