Hi I just finished Final Fantasy X and my save file said I had played it for around 55 hours. And I think that is the longest game I have ever played. I have 100+ hours in Skyrim but most of the time I just played around and did useless stuff, I could have finished the main quest much faster. Other than that I remember Jak II being pretty long too.

So what is the longest game you have played?

Garry's Mod with 5202 hours and counting :3. But if it were for games I have completed, then it has to be Fallout: New Vegas, somewhere between 800-850hours with full game completion and tons of mods to expand playtime.

Guild Wars 2, absolutely the first... Over 1k hours playing... It's not too much, by someone else's standards, but I almost never play a game for more than 100 hours...

Yep, I've put plenty of hours into GW2, and even more into the original.

Hmmm, probably counterstrike source since I played in a lot of tournaments, but that was before steam started tracking hours so I have no idea how much time I spent on it.

I played a 10 hour game of civ 5 last night though. >D

Leaving multiplayer aside and endless strategy games, The Last Remant. I was not doing all the sidequests, progressing at a good pace, just dying when I'm suppossed to do against some though enemies and still so far away from the ending of that game. 107 hs invested on it and I gave up, I felt it was a nonsense spend so much time on a single game. Still, I bought it recently on Steam and I really want to start over as fast as I can, it was such an enjoyable game.

My first Dark Souls playthrough took me 96 hours, but a lot of it was mostly me wandering around wondering what to do. Final Fantasy VIII took me over 80 hours, it was 100% with a guide.

Sandbox games don't count, as the experience can virtually last forever. The longest linear game I've ever played is Far Cry. It just didn't end...

it took me 150+ hours finish a branch of the Fallout: New vegas storyline, including the 4 DLCs. in that playtrough i was the good guy, took side with the NCR and try yo make everything the pacifist way possible (except with the legion, fuck them) i helped free-side, west side, the brotherhood, the Boomers even the khans.
yet, i miss a lot of things (for example, never meet the enclave remnants) i'm currently playing my 2nd playtrough, triying to be the most neutral possible (except for the legion. again, fuck them)...
still need a 3rd one to be pure evil.
