I played too many that I loved, but my DS's been broken a year ago, and I don't remember every title :/

I like a ton of DS games but these are the ones I remember liking the most:

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS is amazing.

1. Surprised no one has mentioned Fire Emblem Awakening.
2. Rondo of Swords is something I don't ever see mentioned, it's an interesting take on the strategy genre where you run through enemies rather than standing next to them and hitting them. It also contains a fairly excellent moral choice based on your actions that changes how the entire rest of the game plays out.
3. I can't decide this one as it's a toss-up between either of the Megaman ZX games and any Pheonix Wright game.

It would seem that very few are following your instructions, that said here are my honorable mentions which will include remakes/re-releases/collections.

Kid Icarus Uprising is really good, though you will need some dexterity to hold the 3DS and push buttons in the same hand while pushing on the 3DS with the stylus in the other.

• A Professor Layton game. (I have only played diabolical box, but the puzzles are the main draw and unless diabolical box has the only good puzzles, any of them should be fine)
• Kirby Superstar Ultra (remake)
• Megaman Zero Collection (collection, dur)
• Sonic the Hedgehog Collection (collection, again)
• Chrono Trigger (re-release)

I really want a 3DS to experience many great games it had to offer, though I used to have a ordinary Nintendo DS Lite and I put so much hours into Pokemon Diamond, also I enjoyed the Super Mario Bros game and Animal Crossing Wild World :D
