Do achievement spam games make you an angry, angry person?
Ha ha ha ha...that's the spirit. Glad someone gets the overarching joke here. π€π€

Meh. With practice, it becomes easier to ignore achievement spam trash.
No, I won't call them games. And no, I won't be entering any of the GAs either. I wouldn't want to decrease the odds for those who enjoy bloating their steam libraries with garbage.

Lol, fair enough. And don't worry...there will be better GAs coming soon, as I have a final push to level 9, and then probably some kind of celebration train for reaching it. ππͺπ€

I watched Superman 3 last week (and 1 and 2 before it recently), and finally realized your avatar is a real scene from the movies. Selfish, drunk Superman was pretty entertaining. On to number 4 this week!

Entertaining and a pure archetype, but that's how just about everything kind of rolled in those movies. :D

Sometimes you can find something really playable among the trash, I`ve no regrets.

The ironic thing is that many of the Achievement-spam games have been neutered by Valve now. I know that there were a fair number of people in the 100% Achievements Group that lost a whole bunch of Achievements to their total, as well as some Perfect games.
I'm not sure if any of the ones on your train have been affected yet, or if they will be in the future. It may take time for Valve to hit them all, or they may only do some retroactively and mainly focus on the ones that just got released or have an upcoming release.

I saw that Achievement Clicker 2020 has a label on it that says "Steam is learning about this game" where it would normally tell you that it has achievements/cards/etc. So, that says to me that they're focusing on games currently being released more than going back and cleaning house for old ones. The problem with doing the latter is that some people paid for those piece of crap games simply for the achievements, so if Steam removes the achievements for established games, as shallow as the purchaser's original intent was, they're still essentially doing a takeback. The purchaser may have grounds to demand a refund in that case, and I'm betting that Steam doesn't want to deal with that, even if they manage to stand their ground on it. Better to leave things alone for what's already been spammed and just prevent a repeat in the future.

There were a lot of poor asset flips/bad games made by Zonitron. They added 300+ achievements to each of them later as additional selling point (trading cards were only one selling point before that). People lost their perfect games and achievements because valve stopped doing business with Zonitron. But - neither achievements spam nor trading cards farming was the reason to remove all their games from store. It was some shady business practices and breaking tos of steam store :D

Sorry, I meant that the games are still there in the Library, but the Achievements got nerfed for them. I also think that Achievements in demos don't count anymore, but I haven't played any demos so I can't be 100% certain.
Zonitron. Those are the ones that made Why So Evil and the like?

These are guys from Break into Zatwor and similar titles xD Also - all of them are still in my library. But they don't count in games number and total achievements anymore. Also they no longer have store page and cards are untradeable :)
Yeah - why so evil was their work as well. Here is list with all their crap

Surprisingly, I haven't actually gotten one yet for this, so it looks like almost everyone gets the joke. But, I'm still waiting for it to happen. ππ

I'll take any opportunity to grow my game count. My aim is 2k by end of the year, but I've been lazy of late to make any progress in last 4 months.
Also, why on earth did you mention that Christina Aguilera song? Now I've got the damn "dogs" barking in my head. :'(

Need to pump up those stats on your Steam profile? Do you embrace an unhindered, uninhibited, unashamed approach to filling your Steam library with utter garbage in order to one-up your friends and enemies alike with false statistical superiority? Well, then look no further, because I bring you this CHEEVO SPAM TRAIN!!!
Yes, the majority of these games are terrible. Seriously, they're freaking terrible games...heck, I think that a couple of them don't even qualify as games. But each title in the list will grant you at least 500 achievements, up to 5,000 for many of them, and often for doing nothing more than just opening the game and then letting your Steam client grind away for a little while.
I know what you're thinking: "geez, Grez, don't you feel a little...dirty for offering this stuff up?" Yes, yes I do. This actually makes me feel like Christina Aguilera (during her rubbed-with-grease-and-wearing @ssless chaps phase) grabbed me by the ears and demanded that I clean her filthy britches with my face. But hey, in my defense, I bought a bunch of stuff on GogoBundle really quickly one night that didn't look that bad...and then like a week later when I actually looked at it more closely, I saw all of these 5K-for-nothing games and was
shockedmildly surprised. [note: this purchase may also have involved alcohol.]But, you know, whatever. I actually played a few of these games...most were horrible, but I'll say that Pain Train 2 is not a total bucket of suck...I beat the whole thing (yep, all 12 levels and all upgrades) one night, which took about 2 hours and was relatively challenging. I mean, it's buggy and frustrating and completely unbalanced (the first two levels are the hardest, and then once you're fully upgraded, you're practically an unstoppable killing machine), but at least it's an actual game and is complete-able. I do like to play/beat the game when possible and feel like I at least halfway earned all of those achievements that dropped.
Hey, I say relax, have a good time with it, and try not to take any of it too seriously. They're just games, after all, and I still feel less ripped off than I did after a couple of really bad Atari cartridge purchases from when I was a kid (Tac-Scan comes to mind). So, sling some points toward the train and you can get some free profile padding, you dirty, dirty bastard. π€£ ( Ν‘β ΝΚ Ν‘β)

[27 carts, mostly with multiple keys per cart - you must be at least level 1 - good luck]
