My Contributor Level had been at 5.12 for a month or more.
Put up some giveaways over the past day+ (11 total), and after some had closed and had been marked
received, I ended up going to bed with a Contributor Level of 5.13 and 9 more giveaways to be received.
When I woke up later, my Contributor Level was down to 5.11 and that included 5 additional
giveaways that were received during my sleep. That means my CV dropped by .03 or .04.
I only have 4 more of those 11 giveaways to be received, and I have a bad feeling I will end up right
at 5.12 where I was before giving those 11 away.
.03 or .04 represents like $15 - $20. Anyone know what game may have had CV value removed?
I am sure it affected a game I gave away a month or more ago, not one of the current 11 I had given away.

Anyway, this was asked mostly to spur a discussion.

Should SteamGifts have a place where they post what games have lost their CV value so people have
an idea why their CV suddenly drops, especially after a reasonably long time? It could be an automated
system that when they update the database of 15% and 0% CV value games, it automatically posts the
changes to a discussion board for this purpose or something similar.

What do you think?

Did anyone else have their Contributor Level drop over the past 12+ hours?

Yes. My level dropped, too.
No, everything seems as it was.

What you want is a system that lets you know when price drops happen? I think I've seen that functionality somewhere before, steamdb or itad would be my guess, but don't take my word for it, I might be misremembering.

No, not price drops. Contributor Level value drops. Thanks for replying in any case.

Awesome! There is an actual list of which games were affected and what date it went into effect.
I also see that where I used to have 2 or 3 full value games that I had given away, it is now only
showing 1. So, I presume a full value game I gave away in the past was downgraded to a bundled
or no CV game. I'm going to look over the list. Looks like a lot of games were affected yesterday
and today.
Thanks for reminding me of sgtools.info. I've used the site before but never noticed the list before.

Everything in the April Humble Monthly bundle just got marked as reduced CV today, retroactively applied to the April bundle. That's probably what gave you a hit to your level. By my understanding, the monthly bundles needed to hit $240 to get marked as bundled, and this one falls short of that mark. Unless something has changed, and discounts to subscriptions or something has lowered that threshold?

Yes, it appears that a Humble Monthly bundle game or two may be the culprit.

I should have included the URL I used to find that info: http://www.sgtools.info/lastbundled
I think that's exactly what you're asking for, though it is on a separate site.

Thanks for the follow-up. Luckily I found the link on the URL you originally shared. :-)

Thanks for the info. Also goes to show those HBM are not what they used to be. As if Destiny 2 wasn't a big enough clue I mean

This prompted me to check my own level, and I did indeed go from 7.97 to 7.82. A small hit, but still a hit.

Oh, well! I'm just glad I didn't lose a whole level.

I lost about $250 of CV personally, but I'm pretty used to wild swings by now.
