So they take free keys and then can't get rid of them, so instead of giving them for free again, they still gouge people for that extra cent? Just give it for free so perhaps some kid who actually doesn't have a debit/credit card or doesn't have money can actually get it.

This isn't a sale and it's not a giveaway. Better than nothing, of course. Not trying to sound ungrateful (though I already own the game anyways), but just saying that perhaps there's a reason why many people take part in giveaways. This could've been a way for many to find something fun to do during their summer holiday.
