This is a terrible comparison. Duke Nukem took a long time to be released, but it wasn’t under active development that entire time.

What about Witcher 3? There was a lot of hype, and it turned out to be great. Why should it not be the same with Cyberpunk? And that comparison makes a lot more sense than DNF, which was from a different studio and developed under very different circumstances.

But we were not talking about your personal preference, right? We were talking about whether CP would live up to the hype. It should be possible to seperate personal preference and general perception (which I am sure you know in case of Witcher 3 was that it was really good).

Sure, I would think (or hope) we all want that. I think the confusion came from the fact that you were talking about hype, which people will always understand generally, unless you specifically say you mean your own gaming experience and your own preferences. It's all good. I for one will give it a try this evening. Having avoided all spoilers - and with that also a lot of information about how the game is and what it exactly offers - I am hoping for a good experience (but I won't be too disappointed if it is not).

watching it rn played by a streamer, I gotta say it's fulfilling my expectations.
There definitely is a lot of (expected) bugs, but I can easily tolerate them as long as they're not game breaking

Sadly looks like those system requirements may not be true. Lot of people with way more powerful GPUs barely getting above 30fps. I'm going to wait for a few patches before trying it.

Prepatch on GoG was 10Gb big (9,7Gb), and there will be another, smaller Patch on Release Time with the .exe.
So you should be good with that. ;)

What happened? i just completed act 1 and only bug i faced was killing royce after defeating him wearing the tech.

At the end somehow Jackie bugged for me in elevator at the end and I didn't care to spend too much time trying to retrack... Might have been me trying to collect everything or somehow quick warping him by blocking him to elevator...
I expect at least first hour or two of a game to be issue free...
