How to check for free games?

I know there's a way to check if a game has been bundled before, but is there also a way to check if a game was massively given away, and unable to be given away through SG?
My friend just made an account on here, and I don't want him to make that mistake and get banned O.o

Well, if he can't select the game in the drop-down list he should know he can't make a GA for it.
And if he makes a fake one it's his own fault.
