I thought I wouldn't be able to ride the train as I was out of points... Wow! Almost a zero point train! Cool!

I like playing the old games from my youth. Not just for nostalgia, which really only covers a handful, but because plenty of those old games are damn good - and quite a few still hold up well today. If I'm completely honest, more games from the early '90s have held up than from the '80s or the late '90s. Very few games from the early '80s have graphics that are palatable today, and controls were often a dreadful affair. By the early '90s graphics had gotten good enough (especially on consoles) and controls were less wonky. But once the 3d revolution hit, well, polygons! The 2d graphics were crisp and vibrant, but 3d graphics were all blocky (and controls went back to sucking. especially camera controls). Similarly, 2d level design had improved drastically from the '80s, but people just didn't know what to do with 3d.
